daniel dale is here with a fact-check. we are hearing a lot about this woman and her as a prosecutor. a lot coming from donald trump. i'm curious what is true and what is fact and fiction. i have a sense of what is what. one of the things that trump is saying is willis should stop spending so much time focusing on, him, and this is a quote. she should focus on the record number of murders in atlanta. how do the statistics in atlanta match up to the claim? >> this is one of the many cases where trump could make a factual point if he just stuck to the actual facts. but instead, exaggerates himself into falseness. he could have accurately said atlanta, like much of the country, has seen a murder spike between the pandemic between 2020-2022. he could say the atlanta 2022 number, which was is 170 homicide is the heightest since 1996. but it is not a record. a consultant provided that it is the 23rd-highest number for atlanta since 1960. it's 35th if you do per capita numbers. not close to a record. it's about 100 lower than the

the 45-page indictment lays out some of them in detail and cnn's daniel dale is joining me on that. daniel what are some of the lies that prosecutors are zeroing in on here? >> so, i counted 21 listed in that indictment. you can go from 18 to 25 depending on how you classify them. regardless, it is a staggering list. i'll take you through a few of them i think are especially rtant or revealing. the first one is the lie that vice president mike pence did have the right to reject joe biden's electoral votes. i think it is important because of how brazenly antidemocratic it is, that the president was asking his vice president to unilaterally cast aside the wishes of the people. it is important because of it is obstructive quality. this is a lie he was using to try to obstruct the government process of certifying joe biden's victory. how dangerous it was. this is a lie that put the vice president's life and that of his family in jeopardy on january 6th. and i think it is also notable because trump was repeatedly told by vice president pence and others that it was wrong and yet he persist
