danielle: welcome back. i'm meteorologist danielle vollmar. even though we've gotten several days with some rain, we are still well down for the year. in a lot of areas actually still under a moderate drought. the area in tan is a moderate drought. since january 1, we're down over 5.5 inches in boston. and you disoafer 4.5 inches in worcester. one area that is receiving quite a bit of rain is bermuda right now. the outer edges of hurricane joaquin making its way toward bermuda. they're going to get anywhere from 3-5 inches of rain. hurricane force winds later today. it is a category 3 hurricane right now. the good news with this one is it is trekking along to the north and east at 21 miles an hour. it passes by bermuda tonight and gets closer to us by late monday night or tuesday and then well out to shore moving out to sea and then weakening. i'm meteorologist danielle vollmar. >> hey, bartender, keep 'em coming. stormteam 5 meteorologist danielle vollmar is tracking its path. good morning, danielle. danielle: good morning, karen. that's right. it has moved inland into mexico. it is weakening as it does so going across the land. it was the strongest hurricane on record in both the eastern pacific though and the atlantic basin at one point. now it is a category 1 hurricane. winds are still at 75 miles an hour so it is still maintaining tropical characteristics. east at about 21 miles an hour. expected to bring in addition to 10 inches of rain with parts of mexico have already seen anywhere from 4-8 inches. for parts of texas we're watching it too. they've already seen 3-7 inches separately from another system and they're looking for patricia's moisture to give them an additional 4-8 inches. that is why flash flood watches are up for most of that area. closer to home, we are dry right now but we're talking about cool conditions. 23 orange. 25 springfield. 31 lawrence. and 39 degrees in boston. now today we should warm up into the low 50's. we'll look for a mix of sun and clouds. inc
