look at danville. we're at 32. once again, we've had a lot of these mornings throughout the week. it continues today. and 33 degrees in sonoma and santa rosa in san francisco. we're back down to 47 degrees. cool start. but we've also seen some fog moving around. it has improved slightly, but we've also seen it moving into different areas now. napa down to a quarter of a mile. and we are also seeing fog in parts of the north bay and the east bay. so as you're heading out this morning, maybe some dense fog in spots, but not seeing it widespread and temperatures will be cooler as we see a few more clouds, some breezy winds and highs reaching into the upper 50s, and this weather will stay on repeat throughout the week. really not as warm as we saw recently. we are still going to be dry throughout the weekend much of next week. we're stuck in this pattern, butut it looks like it will start to change by the end of next weekend. possibly by sunday. we could see some bay area rain and some snow coming down for the north bay. it's going to be a cold system as it moves in, but definitely mu

but we've once again made it down below freezing in danville. and it's in the mid 30s for the south county. just in is our drought monitor. here's the update. we're still seeing widespread drought across the west and across actually much of the country, including parts of the northern mountain states. and for the west coast, we are seeing the drought continuing as well as for southern california. no surprise that we've seen a 15% increase in severe drought for these areas shaded in orange, where, of course, we've been dealing with the very dry conditions. they haven't had any measurable rain for months now, and it looks like it's still going to be very dry. now, the relative humidity is another factor in that in drying out the vegetation even more, as we've also been getting those gusty winds. and today the relative humidity and that fire danger is still going to be down to the teens, which is critically low. but look at what happens tomorrow. if it's not going to rain, at least we are going to see a surge in the relative humidity and the fog re

we are down now to 29 degrees in danville. and in livermore it is 30 degrees. so you may even have frost on the windshield or on some of those elevated surfaces as you're heading out and getting this monday started. but then look at where we're headed for today, a high of 64 in santa rosa, as well as ukiah and 60 in san francisco and oakland and 62 in concord, will be in the upper 50s and low 60s for much of the south bay. and going to see this weather repeat for the next few days with cold morning sunshine and some mild afternoons at least through wednesday. but then looking ahead, we will eventually get some rain coming back to the bay area. it moves in on friday and continues kind of off and on throughout the weekend. we're expecting some scattered showers. a lot of it lifting to the north between sunday and monday, and during that time that we will see those scattered showers. the north bay will have the highest rainfall totals, with the potential of 1 to 2in of rainfall, maybe even higher, farther to the north. but most of the bay area is going to get some

we're at 50 degrees, and we cleared out earlier in the day around walnut creek into danville and alamorees currently. and as we head into san jose, it's still pretty soupy outside at 52 degrees. and this is the little pocket of gloom in the forecast. look at the low clouds right there. santa clara valley down into morgan hill. now the good news. if the wind in terms of the fog, that's going to help us out tomorrow to help mix in some drier air and break up the low clouds. but short term, the evening and the first half of the night, the fog will fill back in. but then as the drier air mixes down, notice back into the sunshine for places like san jose tomorrow. so first up, the wind speeds by 11:00 tonight. offshore winds increasing across those north bay hills. peak wind right around midday tomorrow as we could get gusts on the higher peaks, probably above 45 to 50mph. up to 20 to 30 mile per hour winds around the north bay valleys down into san francisco. then, as we head into tuesday, those wind speeds should come down for areas to the south. similar time frame here. wind speeds at th
