darcy? >> reporter: that's right, erica. this could have been a much more serious situation. we had a guy with a loaded handgun on a metro train. in fact, he had already robbed a victim at gun point at the anacostia metro station. apparently, he flashed the gun in his waistband and then stole $40 in cash from that passenger there at the anacostia station and then hopped on a train. let's go to a video of the suspect. he's 20 years old, rondez tibbs of southeast washington. he's been charged with armed robbery and carrying a pistol without a license and he's on probation for another armed robbery and he's already back out on the street. let's show you another photo that was taken yesterday while this was unfolding and it was on a metro train and it was being searched during this investigation. after the robbery in anacostia, two metro employees got involved when he got into an argument with the passengers and one of the employees held down the suspect. when the employee saw that this suspect was reaching into his jacket pocket, he asked him do you have a gun? at that point the

news4's darcy spencer is outside the hospital. darcy, what are we learning tonight? >> well, that's exactly right, erica. we don't know what this confrontation was all about, and we still don't know how this patient died. we are hoping to learn a lot more at a press conference that has been scheduled for tomorrow morning here at the hospital. what we do know is that two washington hospital center security guards got into some kind of altercation with a patient at the main entrance of the hospital. that happened tuesday around 5:00. and during the altercation, the patient, who has not been identified, suffered some kind of critical injury. and again, we don't know what that injury was, but he died two days later here at the hospital. an autopsy is going to determine exactly how he died. the two guards have been placed on administrative leave. at this point no charges have been filed. now the hospital released a statement earlier this afternoon. it says in part our highest priority is the care and safety of every patient who comes to us for care. and we are deeply conc

darcy spencer has more on what happened. >> reporter: i'm darcy spencer along mccomb street in northwest washington. this is where a young woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint early saturday morning. from what we've been told by d.c. police, the woman had gotten into a car that she mistook for an uber car and once she got into the four-door silver car, that's when the driver pulled a knife and sexually assaulted her. >> fortunately, she was able to get away from that driver, but according to this police report, she left behind some items in that car. that includes her driver's license, a debit card, her house key and her smart trip metro card. now d.c. police are saying that they're still investigating this case. no arrest has been made. coming up on news 4 at 5:00, i'll tell you what she did after the attack and how she got help here in this neighborhood. darcy spencer, news 4. >>> right now things are back to normal for passengers taking southwest airlines after technical glitches led to hundreds of delays over the weekend. yesterday's problem impacted the airline's website, the

darcy? >> reporter: doreen, that good samaritan is actually a firefighter/emt who lives in arkansas. he was here in maryland over the weekend for the national fallen firefighters memorial service. his dad had died in the line of duty a year ago. the president attended that service. the emt was headed down here on i-270 when he saw that baby in distress. and he tells me tonight that this was all fate. this is baby kenzlee mae in her hospital gown, doing just fine. her mom and dad breathing a huge sigh of relief and thanking the police and firefighters who saved the 9-month-old baby girl's life. kenzlee was riding in the car with her grandparents on i-270 on sunday when she became unresponsive. her granddad pulled into the median, where officer james harman had made a traffic stop. kenzlee's grandma rushed her to the officer who began cpr, reviving the little girl within minutes. >> it was amazing how fast the baby came back. the eyes came back. the baby became responsive, started tracking our

news 4's darcy spencer was at the vigil. >> reporter: that's right. friends and family members want people to know who he was. he wasn't just a young man found dead in a park here in montgomery county. he was someone who was loved and take a look here. you can see dozens of those people among the many who loved this young man who gathered here at this vigil taking place in a basketball court in a local park. this is not where he was found dead. this was being held in another park in burtonsville. we're getting the first look now at this young man's picture. it was provided to me by the family. garrett mcchief was only 22 years old and his mom told me he was a very intelligent young man. in fact, he had won -- earned a full ride academic scholarship to morehouse college and he was found shot and killed tuesday afternoon in edgewood park in the white oak area in montgomery county. relatives say they don't know why he was there at the park or even why this happened. >> garrett has a true spirit. he has an artistic and cree aft spirit that exudes life and
