. >>> let's get the first alert meteorologist darren peck, another twist to the story is thunder and lightning. >> it is not as widespread and as intense as this morning was. look at the first alert doppler behind me. if you have not already noticed this firsthand if you are on the immediate bay, there is a good little complex of thunderstorms that has been marching across through the golden gate. this is over the golden gate bridge and into the east bay. we are looking at the last 15 minutes here. this shows you how this is playing out. we will come is a good line. the . lightning on the one hand is attention grabbing. this is especially when you look at it on the radar. there are two bigger impacts for this. that will have very strong wind. and, whatever the lightning might bring with it and of course there is always concern with lightning and thunder, go indoors just for your own personal safety. but in honesty, the 40 mile an hour gusts that will accompany that line might have a bigger impact because that takes more trees down. this line right here is already coming through the m

. >>> first, we have meteorologist darren peck with a closer look at why we called a first alert weather day . obviously, a lot of weather going on. >> you know what the biggest impact was? the wind. even though we are not done with the storm, the aspects of the wind will start giving us a little bit of a break. there is still rain to get through this morning and to the timing of the rain will bring it ahead right into the morning commute. if we look at the first alert doppler, organized line shower off the coast and that comes across the bay area right through the heart of the morning commute. this will have a slightly different nature to it then last night playing and this is not going to be as widespread and steady as it was, but it will be a little bit more short-lived, but it will have a briefer burst of intensity with it. we will see isolated thunderstorms come through with this one as it marches its way right across the heart of the bay, then keep scattered showers going through the late morning. by the time we get to the early afternoon , these showers will turn off. we are done
