pam, dave. >>> thank you.ody this morning after walnut creek police say they stabbed three others outside a car wash. it happened last night on main street near geary. ktvu's allie rasmus joins us now with the details on the victim still in the hospital and the other who's refused help. >> reporter: well, pam, walnut creek police arrested two men early this morning in connection with that stabbing that happened here at this car wash parking lot. police arrested two men a few hours ago. they were booked into a martinez detention facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. we know at least one of the two men arrested lives in this apartment building right here behind us. this is right next to the car wash right next door to where this stabbing happened. about 45 minutes ago we watched two walnut creek police patrol cars pull up to the apartment building and enter one of the residences. i had a chance to talk with the wife of one of the men arrested. she didn't want to appear on camera, but she says he

kraig. >> reporter: yeah, dave. he told me the story about how he did but he also said not everybody was willing to help. the man lives in a first floor apartment here on 200 spring road. the girl started knocking on doors after being an unwilling passenger in a carjacking which makes the suspects kidnappers. he heard someone trying to get in but saw the braid of the top of the 2 and a half year old girl's head. carjackers may not have own even seen that much. it happened around 9:45 at alabama street. the victim told police he saw three men in a car following him before they forced him to stop. two men got out of their car and -- got out of their car and into his and drove off. police don't know why but the men abandoned the car and the girl on the 200 block of springs road at the apartments. wadly says the girl seemed reluctant to speak with him. she seemed to prefer to accept the help of a next door neighbor, a woman and her daughter. but the woman declined to help. >> she felt safe with that lady with that littl

i'm dave clark. >> i'm tori tori campbell. it's tuesday, june 21st. about 30 minutes ago, firefighters put out a large fire at a fraternity house. allie rasmus is live with more. >> reporter: that fraternity house is on 11th street. right here behind me you can see some of the firefighters are packing up to clear the scene. later on, it will be the work of the investigators to go inside the building to figure out what exactly started this fire. now, firefighters started gaining control of this fire and within the last hour we've seen them shut the hoses off and get ready to pack up and leave. the building where this started, this fire started here at this house, just after 3:00 this morning. newschopper2 was overhead after the fire broke out. >>> at 4:00 this morning, the firefighters called for aid. shortly after they arrived, firefighter also to go outside the building and tackle it from the outside. as the fire spread through the building, it just became too dangerous to fight the fire from inside

good morning, allie. >> reporter: good morning, dave. it's not quite clear at this point what impact this new video could have on the bryan stow beating investigation. but according to tmz the media outlet that released this video you're about to see los angeles police want a copy and take a closer look. let's show you the video we are talking about. it's taken a shot from inside dodgers stadium. it appears to be shot from some sort of cell phone camera. it shows a man in a dodgers jersey standing up and arguing with stow. stow is seated on the left of the screen. he appears to be trying to calm the guy down and has his hands up in the video. we don't know at what point during the game this video was shot but some time after stow left this game and the stadium is when he was brutally beaten by two dodgers fans. the man seen here in this dodgers jersey however is not the man los angeles police arrested for stow's beating. the person police did arrest is 31-year-old giovanni ramirez. ramirez's attorney has said repeatedly police have the w

samantha. >> reporter: time is running out, dave.democratic governor of new york is really pushing to have this passed. he has met with republicans. he has support from a couple of them. he's one vote short and needs one more gop senator in the new york state congress to lend support to this in order for it to pass. the vote has been stalled in part because republicans are concerned it will make some churches vulnerable. past attempts to do this in new york have failed. the senate rejected a bill to legalize same sex marriage in 2009 and blocked the last three attempts by the state's lower house to get the proposed legislation signed into law. other states that have passed same sex marriage laws, massachusetts, kentucky, iowa, new hampshire, and washington, d.c.. this is the last day for legislatures and new york to pass this. the governor has indicated that he might extend the session if it looks like it's getting close or he thinks he will be able to encourage this one remaining republican senator to come on board. back to you. >>>

i'm dave clark -- good morning. i'm dave clark. it's wednesday, june 8th. >>> overnight, there were two overnight fires in berkeley -- in the berkeley hills, both on cragmont avenue. tara moriarty has more. >> reporter: given the proximity of this fire to the other one and the timing, those were sort of the red flags that alerted firefighters to get an arson investigator out here. now, the arson investigator is working right now and he believes that the fire started on the back end of this car. you can see where it actually melted the tires completely off and how it spread upwards on the front of the house, threatening the home. now, firefighters were on their way to the car fire when they noticed another fire less than a block away. these blazes happened within minutes of each other. just before 1:00 this morning on the 4 u.n -- on the 400 and 500 block of cragmont. it's a very quiet neighborhood. in examining the car, the investigator said there was no obvious source of ignition. >> a lot of times we have to keep on looking, bein
