fox 29's dave kinchen is arrive at the scene. dave what can you tell us?rter: we just got to the scene a lot of police activity here. let me step out of the way take look what's going on. lights, blaring police lights. police tape you got the police wagon out here everyone is out here. we do know that an officer was shot in the leg. that officer was able to return fire and hit a suspect. but while that officer was taken to the hospital, there's another suspect that's on the loose right now. so one suspect was shot. another who is on the loose right now. a lot of people looking outside of their doors and wip dose. we heard gunshots. they're not sure exactly what is going on here. they hear the helicopters flying over. they see flashlights from police officers. they see some of the top brass out here trying to find out what's going on. but 52nd and master has been shut down virtually here with the police activity that's taking place all of the lights and all of the activity we know an officer -- a bike patrol officer was responding to some sort of situation.

good morning to you, dave.officers leave the new public safety building here in the mission bay neighborhood they head right out here on to busy third street and right into trouble potentially. here is the issue. a few blocks down there at&t park. and on game days the traffic on third is bumper-to-bumper. let me show you the scene from yesterday after the giants game ended in the afternoon. cars were at a virtual stand still heading towards king street. in the middle of all that backup a number of san francisco police officers trying to leave the new headquarters and southern station. now, the problem is officers can only make a right turn onto third after they pull out of the garage here. we even saw some squad cars waiting to make a right turn and turning around and giving up and looking for another way out. the mta says it presents a challenge for police, but a department spokesman tells ktvu that he doesn't believe the traffic will interfere with officers responding to emergencies. one neighborhood who live
