let's get right on over to fox 29 meteorologist dave warren. dave?> even though the rain is not coming down nearly as heavy as it was the flood threat is still there. south jersey and right along the garden state parkway hit the hardest here not with these severe storms but this was lot of heavy rain coming down in a short period of time. that caused flooding. heavy rain going over the same area one area of rain went right over millville and the other one here went right up the parkway right through atlantic county and into ocean county. so these warnings are still in effect. these are flash flood warnings all that rain coming down heavy led to some flooding on many roadways. want to waist now because that sun is down obviously. you may not see a flooded roadway don't drive through it. still a big problem here especially along the garden state parkway. anywhere from one to 2-inches of rain have come down you see those two swaths very heavy rain. so the flood warnings will continue tonight. we're not quite done with all the rain. it's starting to brea

fox 29 meteorologist dave warren joining us now. s are certainly clearing up for everybody tonight? >> yes. everybody pretty much seeing mostly clear skies and calmer conditions compared to what we saw earlier. this that cool dry air moving inform that was an intense storm that went over cape may county. things are clear with ultimate doppler array car a lost amount and tremendous amount of lightning. very cold air coming into the upper levels of the atmosphere that kicked off these thunderstorms very intense when you get a is like that you have a lot of lightning. over 168 strikes in just about 30 minutes. that was right at the core of the peak of this storm here. that's about one strike every about 10 seconds it seems like. a lot of lightning in a short period of time. that storm moved right over cape may and then over the delaware bay. much calmer now. but we have dry air coming in you'll certainly feel that tomorrow morning. temperatures are seeing that wide range between the city and the suburbs. it's clear it's becoming calm, a

for how things are looking lets go to dave warren and dave it is moving from a southerly direction howput out an alert and then cleared the ground there because we have damaging wind coming in. this is the line, and that is affecting delaware. severe thunderstorm warnings extended east, and now including portions of sussex county and kent county, lot of wind damage in these lines of storms moving through parts of the maryland and virginia. now this line here is just about to push into southern delaware. wind gusts close to 60 miles an hour are possible, and certainly starting to blow out here as it takes on this shape as it bows out. that is an indication have of damaging win. be prepared for that. not nearly as much lightening as previous there was maybe not quite as intense but damaging wind likely as this moves through. it is moving at 35 miles an hour and that will put it south of dover putting it through the state here in the next hour. here's the timing, this is with this series of storms, dover by 11:05. lewis, delaware by 1:11:34. you will see lightening pick up wind pick up. y
