david culver has been following this and joins us live from richmond. i want to start with the governor. if northam doesn't resign, aders said they would be less effective doing their jobs. is there any discussion about making a stronger effort to push him out? to force him out?te >> rep we made that question put forward to several of the lawmake we've been interviewing. several of the democratic lawmakers are going against the governor. some part of their own party, have said they don't want to go the route of impeachment. they are hoping the collective, point,ud voices at this calling for him to resign and, quote, do the right thing, will be heard in the governor's mansion. he will ultimately do that. you look at the republican side ofthings. will they go the route of impeachment, given they, too, nt the governor to step aside. we spoke with the speaker of the house yestery. he sayimpeachment is a very high standard. it is not one that he wts to pursue. they're concerned if you pursue that, you divide a split commonweal commonwealth. >> has lieutenant
