came together to enjoy a full day of activities by attending a ride for recovery and rally at daytona beach. the ride began at destination daytona, with stops along the way for raffles, prizes, and lunch before ending at the bandshell in daytona beach. after the ride, event attendees enjoyed further entertainment, including displays, line dancing, and live music. both washington and oregon kicked off recovery month with ceremonies on each side of the interstate bridge. the events featured stories from people in recovery, elected officials, and a reading of the proclamation from the governor's office. native american drumming groups played as members from the two states joined hands across the bridge and recited the serenity prayer. the festivities continued afterward with tons of food and music. members of the reno sparks indian colony enjoyed a collaboration of festivities by celebrating recovery month and national indian day. two fun-filled days of sober activities focused on celebrating recovery and cultural identity. activities included cultural presentations, dance performances, poetry

there were records set all over the east today all the way from daytona beach -- 24 degrees -- louisvilleroanoke, 10 degrees. we will continue to see that overall cold pattern as we go to the next 24 hours, with more strong northwesterly winds. there is an area of low pressure that will move to our south. probably close enough to give us a bit of light snow on thursday. maybe an inch or two, especially you folks to the south. in the meantime, for overnight tonight and tomorrow morning, look at the wind chills. it will be 10, feeling like five to 2110 degrees. only feeling about 20 degrees. during the afternoon, it will feel only about 20. tomorrow morning, dress warmly and safely. temperatures -- the actual temperature will be into the low teens in the suburbs. a windy afternoon. on thursday, i have increased the chances for light snow, down towards fredericksburg, 40% chance. another one we will keep an eye on for sunday. you can keep posted on the weather all the time on tbd.com. we have a blog of nice presents for aspiring young meteorologist. here's to the believers. the risk-takers.

members of the daytona beach, florida, community celebrated recovery with a motorcycle ride, entertainmentstimonies, and information on supportive services. the free celebration started with a bike ride to the beautiful halifax river for a dare extreme stunt rider show with a prevention message to young people. also included in the event was a talent contest, toys for kids, food, and fun! mohave county substance abuse treatment education and prevention partnership and the kingman area meth coalition hosted a parade walk to support recovery in kingman, arizona. shirts were given out to all walkers, and there was an opportunity to carry signs promoting treatment. waianae women in recovery held a special recovery campout for women and children. there were activities for women, teens, children, and families as a whole. a fun and sober time was had by all. temperatures 25 to 35 degrees, that also could slow traffic right down here into orlando, possibly daytona beach or jacksonville. our system is currently offshore. we have a few returns well to the north of ukiah, right around the oregon-california border. currently dry here but we'll get in on rainfall in the next 72 hours. now, today with that sunshine, the nice break, look at this, temperatures actually above average. a week ago this time we were well below average with freezing temperatures in the overnight hours. 67 in redwood city, 65 in san jose, 64 in livermore and temperatures in the low 60s in the north bay. it felt mild to most of us. you can see current temperatures holding on to those low and mid-50s. there's not too much cloud cover in place so a really nice evening setting up for us around the bay area. you can see this band of rainfall that's developing here just near the oregon-california border. we'll see more rainfall continue to develop and slowly move towards the bay area as we head throughout wednesday's forecast. this system is expansive. look at this, the cold front just
