most of the essential functions of the defense department are still ongoing.here have been a little bit of a stoppage on training just for a couple weeks to figure out, for basic training, i mean, just for a couple weeks to figure out what kind of quarantine or screening or testing they want to do before they bring new recruits into the military to make sure that everybody who is coming in is healthy and doesn't spread it to healthy troops who are already there. mostly they've been leaning on social distancing measures. so telework at home, where possible. a lot of people in the military do more or less do desk jobs. so ast as long as they can take accountability for making sure everybody's work is getting finished, they can work from home. and the people who really need to be in the pentagon or need to be onbase every day doing their job, they've taken as many precautions as they can to sanitize workspaces, now wearing face coverings and social distancing. a lot of the way the rest of us are really. host: the defense department, the daily update from yesterda
