transportation workers decide to have a union or not for the last year this has been going on and delta airlines wanted it to be different airline union elections to be different than every other election in america where the majority of those who vote the side the outcome of the election didn't like that rule they wanted a rule which would prevent majorities of those voting if the majority wasn't as big as everybody who could possibly vote and so they fought this f.a.a. reauthorization bill insisting that their guys boehner and cantor inserted into the bill legislation that would provisions that would overturn you know regular elections very limited no no they just jumped on this one more second they shut down the f.a.a. the last month a couple months ago they shut down the f.a.a. because they wouldn't let go of this particular provision and for a temporary minor service provision let's say that there's a lot of people in the union right and so typically if you held an election and say . fifty people showed up to vote and twenty six of them said yes and twenty four said no the majority of peopl

. >> reporter: raj, hundreds of delta airlines passengers are now waiting to get to their destinations after a security scare. the tsa shut down a security checkpoint that serves delta in terminal one around 11:17 when agents noticed something unusual in a passenger's bag. the area was evacuated. the tsa called the san francisco police department's bomb squad. agents questioned the owner of the bag, an older woman. police say she told them she didn't know what was in her bag because she didn't pack it. that statement is another red flag for police. the items turned out to be oxygen cylinders and an oxygen generator. delta passengers say they understand the need to be safe but many are angry about how delta handled the emergency. >> they told all the passengers that none of the planes were taking off. we all stood around waiting for the security checkpoint to reopen. and then when it finally did reopen, we were told that the planes had in fact taken off. >> reporter: some flights took off, but delta says eight to ten delta flights were delayed, affecting some 1200 passengers. those cust
