you are going to be talking to i guess the federal housing finance agency acting director edward demarcoe. >> no. >> trying to keep fannie mae and freddie mac intact but help struggling homeowners. where is there possibility for agreement between you two or should he step aside? >> you have to keep in mind that the 17 members of the congress have been trying to work with mr. dimarco for now close to a year. basically trying to get him to do principle markdowns. he's the conservator for freddie mac and fannie. he has the power to do that and it's our belief and it's based upon evidence that he has presented to the members of congress this would be beneficial to taxpayers and homeowners but he has initially said he didn't have the authority. we showed him where we pass legislation in 2008 saying that he did. then he came back and said that he didn't think it was a good idea. then we sent him another letter saying that we had a whistle-blower who told us that they were about to, mr. dimarco, was about to launch a principle write-down program back in 2010 around the election and then for som
