the absence of dianne feinstein would be enormous for the biden administration. the state? >> well, i definitely think it can rally conservatives much in the same way that it would in other states or even supreme court picks and judicial picks rally conservatives, but, you know, electorally democrats do have an advantage here. they have about a -- almost a 2-1 advantage here and as you said in the lead-up, gaven is extraordinarily popular, and i think a lot of voters actually understand the difference between descriptive and substantive representation. you know, as an african-american man, there's only been two blacks elected -- elected to governorships in this country and that actually in our entire history and that happened within the last 30 year, so i -- i imagine that there's some sense of, you know, some conservatives saying look what we -- look what we can do, and it's not about black conservatism. it's not that at all. it's just that, you know, you don't want the -- him to be the opening through which you have a lot of policies like what we've seen in tex
