over the weekend we lost a pioneer in dick gregory passing at the age of 84. dick gregory transformed humor into a force for civil rights in the 1960's..using comedy to spread messages of social justice and nutrional health. he died saturday in d.c. after being hospitlized for nearly a week due to a bacterial infection. we had the pleasure of having mr. gregory in the good morning washington studios just a few months ago. his face is featured on the ben's chili bowl mural where his legacy lives...
