doug: hey there, adrianna. we're looking at blue sky from portions of our home here in arlington but the majority just clouds. there will be more of that through the day and a couple showers, most of that continues to develop and push west of the metro area. let's go over and check out the numbers for you now. for this june 7, kind of impressively low at midday. our average high is 82. 67 right now in warrenton. 70 in culpepper and 64 at annapolis and quantity go at 68 and 66 at reagan international airport. most areas will stay in the 60's and maybe getting close to the 70-degree mark. radar way up here to the right-hand side of that's the metro washington area and most of the rain you go well to the west to find the showers where they'll continue, a few brief heavier downpours and most of it with light rain or drizzly conditions, mother from the north or west and hagerstown to midway and lots of showers showing up just west of the blue ridge and that i think will be an established pattern for this afternoon.

our man doug is tracking it.far, most of you say, you're but it's here. >> got no choice, folks. do we have any relief coming? >> i think we do actually. i've done my summer forecast, which will be coming out in about a week and a half, of when we have the nbc4 tracking summer special in about a week and a half. but i'm going for close to average, 90-degree days. what does that tell you? it means expect an average summer. last year, well above average. we had 57 90-degree days. this year, i'm saying about 40 of them. 95 degrees, the high today. 93 in leesburg, so a hot day for sure, but the humidity was not a big factor and that's really helped as far as that's concerned. because tomorrow, i think the humidity is back. temperature right now, 91 at the airport. winds out of the southwest, 14 miles an hour. is it going to be a hot evening? the humidity will start to creep up. no rain on the radar, but just think about this next couple days, drink plenty of water if you're out doors, take indoors. wear light colored
