so, doug, we're bracing for another scorching hot week. >> yeah, we saw it last week. you know, we had a couple of days at 97. we had two days we had a heat advisory. it's been a hot day today. some of you saw tremendous, the high temperature. hit 91 a little bit area. also 91 degrees. temperatures at the airport, 85 degrees, rather nice evening. it's on the humid side, humidity really up today and you felt it out there a little bit earlier. we had a lot of storminess, montgomery county. now really starting to weigh in as you move on through the rest of the night. big storm south, you've got one storm way back towardsdl that's been here for the last hour year. don't be surprised to see a little bit in the way of flooding back here. new storm, popping up to the west of leesburg, heads up around the blew mont area and could see see some pop up around fairfax county, just to the south of middle up to and around right this area. this is all got to have a hard time doing so, kind of repeat of today. 86 by noon. heat index already. 92 at 4:00. a good chance of isolated storm

i tried to do that, today, doug. it's still stifling out here. we talked about the humidity going down. it happened this time yesterday evening. and i noticed a decrease in that humidity outside. it's still very hot. >> and, again, that decrease comes during the evening hours, quickly. right back up as you move into the over night and into the day tomorrow, that's what we're expecting, no rain today and most of the area saw a couple of thunderstorms pretty good storm down there towards the county. big time storms to the north. we had some storms to the west, too. we'll track these, but most likely these will fall apart in the mountains to our west that's something to be watching out for. better chance of storms for us for the weekend. 98 degrees, hot and humid, and, really, i think tomorrow we get over 105 in the city and that's why i think, onc area during the day tomorrow. if you're sending the kids to camp, this time of year, no school, you've got to go somewhere. temperatures well up into the 90s feeling like 105 for them, too. feels like for

let's go storm chief doug cammerer, another repeat of yesterday. the same locations as it was yesterday back towards the mountains and over portions of i-95 seeing that rain again today. the heat index has gotten up to 100 degrees today. it's been on the hot side. here is one little area of storminess of just west of 95. you can see it moving to the west and continuing to develop, another line back along i-81 and around the front royal region. you can see it seeing pretty good storm. one right along 66 and then watching this area right here, right along the beltway and 270. 270 is seeing some fairly heavy rain right around rockville. making its way back to the west and continuing to form, so, again, this is something we'll continue to watch. this is all part of a system that's just sitting on top of us right now. we'll see more showers and thunderstorms during the evening hours and then we're talking the heat, guys. we're talking the hottest temperatures we've sn i have at least one, one hundred degree day in the forecast. >> all right. thank you,
