i've got to tell you, such excitement in the air today and right now i have doug o'neal joining me live here. he's the trainer for i'll have another, the derby winner. thanks for coming over. i know you're . >> you're totally right though. a lot of excitement in the air. we're having a blast. >> reporter: what's going through your mind as you prepare for the preakness stakes on saturday? >> a lot of anxiety? . we're very confident in our colt and coming off the derby win and we've had him n here early and he's nice and settled in and he's very conf. >> he's sort of tucked away. why that decision? >> they have two stakes barns so we're in one of the stakes barns but he's nice and settled. we got here early. we wanted him to be in a nice quiet setting and people at pimlico were kind enough to do that for us and it's paying off. he looks great. the horse to beat, he's got tremendous speed, he's trained by a hall of fame trainer who's won five of these preaknesss. ridden by a hall of fame rider mike smith so he's got a target on his back but we're going to go after him and i like our chance

not many people gave him credit except for his trainer, doug o'neal. so impressive to win the derby, and bodi meister was so impressive at setting early pace, these two horses really separated themselves from the rest of the field. we will have a great showdown today and the possibility that we might be seeing a horse trying for a triple crown in three weeks in new york. >> we also -- i know there are several new shooters they are called. horses that haven't run in preakness before. how do they look and stack up against this field? >> well, right now, they would have to be considered outside shots, just about all of them. not a lot of buzz, simply because the derby horses look so good in kentucky two weeks ago. a horse, kozetti that comes in here. he raced against bodemeister in arkansas, finished well back. he has been training well and his trainer, del romans won this race two years ago. he certainly know house to get a horse ready for this particular race. >> every year is a story someone gloms onto. they are talking about d. wane lucas, optimizer's
