there is no fairy service from larkspur or sausalito due to downtown san francisco. a strike has prompted a shutdown until the middle of the afternoon. workers plan to picket in about a half-hour >> is actually really quiet here right now with some news crews and extra security. no ticket line yet. earlier we saw some very workers gathered in the parking lot but they appear to have left so there's no major action going on. if you are just waking up and planning to use the ferry, there is no service this morning between marin and san francisco. now we're hearing that the strike could last into tomorrow morning as well making this a two day strike. golden gate transit decided to shut down ferry service after workers decided on the strike. the media announcement yesterday hoping that people would find other arrangements. union members had been working without a contract since last year. you can still use the golden gate transit buses. a little bit earlier this morning we saw some people lined up for regular bus service but a lot of people have to find other ways around.
