staff is retrained. 2box nbc bay area's bob redell joins us now from "marisco's san juan #3" in downtown san jose. bob -- what did the owner tell you and what are customers saying? bob joins us from san juan downtown san jose. what is he saying and are there any customers showing up? >> the restaurant opened, chris, a couple hours ago at 9:00 this morning. within the past 15 minutes three people did show up to eat. i spoke to one of them off camera. they weren't aware of the shigella outbreak, but even if they were, they would have come here to eat. the food tastes good by the way. we did speak with the owner and he apologized to the dozens who got sick here. sergio cruz wants to reassure customers that his mexican seafood restaurant is safe to eat. he did take us inside to show us he thoroughly cleaned his location. he let us in the kitchen to show us that has been scrubbed down as well and thrown out all food and drink and starting fresh. the health department was out here for nine hours yesterday examining this location on fourth street in san jose to make sure the place is sanitized and food
