dr. ben carson says you might want to listen and you might want to pay attention, because whatever's going be an issue here. what do you mean, doctor, explain. >> you know, the people in hong kong have had 17 years now, which they've been under the control of beijing, and promises were made to them that they'd be able to keep their independence, and they were also promised that in 2017, they could have independent elections for their leaders. more recently, beijing indicated that they could have those elections but the people running for election would have to be sanctioned by beijing. so obviously, the people are starting to say wait a minute, what's happening to our freedom? that causes enormous amount of anxiety. they're thinking back to what happened to tiananmen square, back in 1989, and this was causing a great deal of anxiety. in this country, we also have a situation where people are starting to become less trustful of the government. we have enormous financial potential instability because of the level of our debts and the only reason we can sustain a debt of that nature is we can

dr. ben carson in just a minute. first look at the polls and start in the great state of kansas. there has been a lot of talk that pat roberts was in a little bit of trouble against greg orman in this particular race. as you can see there's been a turnaround in this race. democrat has been pushed out, once he announced he was running and going to support harry reid, change of story. now we go to kentucky. some suggested allison grimes had a chance to take out mitch mcconnell and a lot of controversy involving her in the last two weeks. now on to the important state of colorado, a swing state. corey corey gardner against marc udall. onto alaska the incumbent as you can see here dal sullivan it's a four-point race for the republican challenger. then we go to the great state of arkansas, tom cotton is challenging mark pryor. in this case it's a seven-point race. and you can see in favor of the republican. one of the big factors is president obama. if you look at five of the big swing states, balance of power look at obama's approval rating in alaska, 33 arkansas >> kansas 31. these

dr. ben carson. now i'm a senior medical student hopefully able do that in the future. lastly, i went to my athletic coaches and football coaches and told them i want them to equip my body and get me ready for a career as a national football player and fortunately i was able to be drafted by the titans and played for the steelers as well. now it may sound like my story is pristine and ideal and used as the poster child for which you want a collegiate athlete to have an experience. i will say my story is quite rare and unique. some people call it an anomaly. outside of for cory booker the last major division i football player to win a rhodes scholarship was a guy named pat hayden. he played at usc and los angeles rams as a quarterback. there are very few student/athletes who i have had contact with who had the same infrastructure that i had, the family support and the foresights, not come from a broken school or family able to engage if their college experience and maximize their team. many more of my teammates, family, friends, struggled in the college environment, they
