dr. espanola jackson >> good afternoon dr. espanola jackson. i've requested the other day to the board of supervisors to call for a hearing dealing with the a m i for history for those of you no aware from the 60s when redevelopment came into our community they talked about in 12970 affordable housing ways occurred is you have a staff that came about lastly from the mayor's office of housing that has put together a m i that says how much money you must make to qualify for affordable housing. now i've been saying for many years and you've heard me my have been saying affordable to whom not affordable to the people that live in san francisco. and commissioner antonini you may talked about people moving in but what about those of us who have been here all our lives homeowners those of us who have retired and don't make $48,000 a year to get into a one bedroom unit there needs to be a hearing about san franciscans i don't hear nobody talking about those you're here to represent. now the affordable stuff you need to be aware and i'm so happy you fin

dr. espanola jackson again. you know this is nothing new. it's been going on over the last 15 years homelessness for the people in san francisco. i've stated it has been made by design. we're moving poor people out of san francisco let's be real about this. you know you ail sit here and have commissioners, you have other board members come before you and rubber stamp everything that comes through instead of asking questions you have the community come and try to give you the facts i give you facts and what occurs? nothing. nothing occur. you have and it was mentioned you have all those departments here at the mayor's office. where did those funds come from and where it is going what was it set up to do it was to help the same people that you're talking about today has that done that no they find money at the end of the year you didn't find nothing you transfer money from one side to another side and use the money inappropriately you're going to talk and nothing being done >> that i is there any additional public comment with that supervisor

dr. jackson. >> i thought i might say something before leave i'm happy to be one of those persons that was selected to serve on the committee and you can you can be assured that the committee will work at its best and i'm glad to be a part of it and i'll make sure it works and the job will get done much sooner than later thank you very much. >> our new working group right? >> yes. >> thank you doctor. is there any other? counselor. >> good afternoon. again here to emphasize as an advocate looking at this presentation that there's other budgetary priorities among streetlighting and energy efficiency improvements as well but the job numbers from go solar, sf presented today they were about the disadvantaged to bring in in people at entry level positions and to date those jobs are 121 but that doesn't include the solar industry jobs and in support of the program 4000 workers nationwide and 300 alone in the san francisco head quarters and these are all aspects that go solar helped to jump start in san francisco and cutting the program can actually lead to devastating effects if you look at the

dr. jackson was a member of that task force and she's also a member of the southeast working group and to make sure we levelled and harnessed that group so that we leveraged the existing work and make sure that we coordinate all the outreach and activities so we want to thank the task force to continue to move us forward and i should also add that the meetings will be open to the public and we'll host a public website and provide input to the working group and this was again a quick introduction to the southeast working group. it is made up of about 20 organizations and i should add we have youth involved 3 young people that are involved so we can help in the way of mentorship and help to be a part of this ongoing dialogue and make sure we're responsive to those needs and you will hear a lot more about the working group as we continue to form. and to make sure that we involve stakeholders that represent the diversity of the city and if there's any questions i'd be happy to answer those and you will hear more in the coming days. >> i think it's going to make a huge difference and it's some

dr. jackson made a really good point. back in the day, i know my grandmother and mrs. rogers, and all of those folks would meet about public housing. whether for rehabilitation or anything going on. the residents determined how they wanted their developments develop. or who they wanted to work in their development. and now it's just a lot difference. now i hope we have a strong process of open communication and feedback and working together. because there is a lot to do. and i know there some time limitation here, in terms of a 18-month time limit to get onboard with rad. but we have to be sure that we onboard in the residents, and include them in the process. it can't be come to city hall, we have to be in the community, and know the folks in the neighborhood communicating about the residents. yeah, it's a lot. and we got a lot of work to do. and i want to thank everyone for coming out here. and hopefully we can continue this discussion. because there is so many more things to talk about. and thanks again. >> there was a question i wanted to ask for the housing author
