let's talk to our pet expert dr. jill. she is here with coby. a beautiful pup. how are you? so is this happening a lot? do you see this in your practice? are people coming in? >> in my practice not so much but it is definitely in our area in the bay area. we are seeing more of this not kind way of behaving toward pets. the poison meatballs, now we have the tacks. i think it's so important to be vigilant when you take your pet out as a result. i always say you to be careful what your pets are picking up off the ground but the tack is tricky because -- >> they can eat it. >> you may not see it. >> so what do you do? how do you know if your dog might have swallowed something like that? >> well, if they ingested something that's poisonous they are going to start showing symptoms maybe vomit. they may get lethargic. you want to immediately take them to the vet hospital. don't call, just run. and hopefully we'll be able to make them vomit and then do whatever we need to do to save their lives. the tack one is interesting. again, you'll probably see some signs of not wanting to eat
