it's taking place along village parkway here in dublin. did some research on what this odor is. before we get into that pull up a map of the affected area. as you can see on the map it's happening along the stretch of village parkway here in dublin stretching from the drive where we're standing just past dublin boulevard, so that's south of where we're standing now. i did go on the district website. they put out the alert to close your windows because of the o r odor. it says it is coming from a material which is in the pipeliner being installed in the sewer main. they're rehabilitating the sewer line. on the website it says the concentrations are very low. they can't be detected and it's not considered hazardous. closing your window is a precautionary mess to prevent the smell coming into your home or your place of business. now folks are being asked to close window this is afternoon as well as thursday afternoon. the are project is expected to wrap up in dublin at the end of the month. live in dublin, pete suratos for "today in the bay."
