dylan is out in colorado who is keeping an eye on colorado's worst weather in years. rescuers are using a chance to bring helicopters out and to hopefully, bring people back to safety. there are a number of people, we were told hundreds this morning, they are having a hard time reaching on the ground a that is because the roads are washed out or, in some cases, just completely gone. >> here is the latest this morning. four are dead and the numbers could rise. 181 people still unaccounted for in boulder county. officials caution. this doesn't mean they are missing per se, it just means no one has been able to contact them. in many areas, there is no phone or cell service. >> right now, rescuers are taking advantage as we mentioned of that quite to get as many people to safety as possible. the worst we are werned could be on the rain because heavy rains are expected today and tomorrow and means potential for more devastating flash floods.

dylan dreyer what do we have on tap for the last day of september?> you know, not so good in the pacific northwest. this is a typical storm system that happens in the winter out in washington and oregon. to get this in september, this could be the strongest wind storm this area has seen in september. we're looking at another additional 2 to 3 inches of rain, especially from seattle right down into parts of portland and the coast of oregon. but it's the wind on top of that. up until about 5:00 a.m. pacific time, there's the chance we could end up still in the highest elevations of wind gusts up to 80 miles per hour. in the lower elevations, wind gusts up near 60 miles per hour. elsewhere across the country, it's actually a really nice day. we're going to see a lot of sunshine up and down the east coast. 72 in new york city. hot and humid in the south with a couple of gulf coast thunderstorms today. and again tomorrow, looks pretty quiet as well with a few thunderstorms down south. and rain in seattle will turn more into regular rain that they get this

this is really the project of dylan matthews, an education genius.th saying that he's come to. one is that we have this continuous conversation over student loan interest rates. the big thing about that is that's a band-aid. putting more money into subsidizing student loans, which we've been doing for a long time, it's an important thing to do while costs are going high. at some point, we need to stop costs from rising so quickly, or we're never going to be able to afford this. the other thing, and this is the other piece, there are different stories for different kinds of colleges. one thing that happens a lot in the media conversation is people begin talking about harvard or they're talking about uc berkeley and michigan. they talk about these really good four-year research universities accepting everyone. that is just not where most students are going. that's not really where the crisis we have to worry about is. community colleges serve many, many, many more people than four-year research universities. what you see there is a completely different
