one of them is the election administration that we do get it's a biannual survey administered by the eac. and that data that's collected includes and polling places, we also have what is the agency and it's a government agency designated by the federal or a state law that is required to offer its customers or clients in most circs the opportunity to vote. public assistance agencies like welfare or employment assistance agencies and disability service division and military recruitment offices. the next one is the cover transactions and every time a customer or a client with a vra is are equesting a service, filling outa form or application, the vra is require bide law to give the purseen the opportunity to register to vote. these are called covered transactions and two examples for us in nevada is when you're going to do anything with your driver's license at the dmv or a person submitting that application for welfare assistance. and then the national voter registration act, the nrva, that is a 1993 federal law also known as the motor voter law that requires the dmv and public assistance

. >> one thing i would advocate for is make sure people know the website on eac .gov. we have links to each individual state website so they can get information on best information for them to register to vote and, you know, other aspects to funnel that down as well. i know there are large organizations that deal with that and there's a term out there of we don't go to the encyclopedia anymore and we google it. in terms of trying to find out information i would definitely recommend our own website to move forward with that as well. that being said, cameron, we weren't able we were restricted on the size of our panels but one of the big aspects of eac has focused on the leadership of all three commissioners has been language access and so how can and we've held a number of summits unlimited access and you participated in it last summer, as well. how can jurisdictions and anticipate what they need to do to serve these voters with limited english proficiency? >> in terms of anticipating is that you need to look at data. any data that you have available out there while you

and the cost after the challenges on the life of the project, the team has been holding the line on eac. there were a few areas of concern that were already talked about, and then, other items that the cac would really like to keep a close eye on over the coming months. again, we were disappointed to see the slippage of the substantial completion date from april 23rd to may 11th, and what was immediate concern and director harper, you mentioned it, and executive director issapiti, you mention they wanted to get it ready to go in june, with substantial completion in april. the fact that it's pushed out to may really becomes a problem for the june start-up. the focus has always been on substantial completion, and we know that the project team is continuing to work with webcore to pull that back in. one thing that the cac wanted to make a recommendation is on the construction schedule, when you're looking at substantial completion and you're looking at a few key dates of muni transit starting -- and right now, that shows the end of april, and we just talked about the june implementation fo

is there trickle-down economics in eac egypt? maurice: we are seeing growth in the united states. seen recovery. we have not seen medium real wages go up over many years. sense, the roots of growth have been very unevenly shared and that's one of the big challenges for policymakers. how do you do something about that without hurting growth at the same time? tom: i talked to lord deaton here with his broader view of society and economics. i noticed today the statistics for italy where you add to growth in italy. they have an election coming up march 4, but the challenge for italy is simply population growth. you need growth of bodies to create economic growth, don't you? maurice: there's a debate about that. they probably helps, but we also focus on per capita growth. tom: italy has eased up a little. maurice: italy's level of output has not recovered from precrisis levels. it has been very slow growth. to havto have a big challenge. they have some structural reforms in the need more. -- and they need more. the potential is there, but you need strong commitment to reforms and those

left, she is a senior researcher at the group were she served as a lead researcher for the eac's election administration survey. they did a fantastic job for us this year. that's not an easy task, believe me. for more than a decade, she is worker private and public partners, including charitable trust, and our friends at the federal voting assistance program. so thank you for being here. , michael as the registrar of voters for san bernardino county, california, which is actually the largest geographical jurisdiction in the country. michael has spent more than 18 years working as a director in three states. reportingise is in results quickly and accurately, as well as assisting voters. he has made his mark at each post. in san bernardino county, he made the office into a more efficient and effective organization, and i know that from visiting out there. it is quite an impressive operation. he has consolidated underused polling places and improved poll worker efforts and much more. so we are excited to hear about what you are doing with your office there. to my far left, maybe , i have dr.

the eac hasn't changed. we're at 2.15, well below our budget. in the last month, we expended 25.4 million, which is just shy of what ought to be paced in terms of work in place, and an uptick of compliment of 39.5, so holding our own on that front. and then, we get onto schedule, which continues to challenge us a bit. since last month, we slid into may, unfortunately, showing a substantial completion date of may 11th, as opposed to the april 23rd for the transit center, so we have clearly some work to do to keep reigning that back. the work also slipped up a bit, less apt mitchell on the transthe -- aptimism on that, but again, not reigning that back again. we' we're -- looking at the more details streams of activity associated with the construction, most everything slid out a bit in the last month, and it's really the mep continuing to be the drag point. i am hearing that some milestones are being met better with the exception of electrical continuing to be the -- the true drag point in terms of constraining the next steps of commissioning and

first question, how much does north korea pose a threat to eace and security? people in south korea, 76% say it is a threat of some degree. 20% said it is not much of a threat. there are no illusions in south korea about the danger that their country faces from their northern cousins. second question, how likely do you think that north korea will actually start a war? 37% of south koreans said it was a possibility to some degree. 13% said it was a high possibility. about one third of the public thought it was. 58% thought it was low possibility. that was a pretty simplistic question by gallup, but this set of responses strikes me is a good reflection of what i understand south korean opinions to be. genron npo poses this issue in a more open ended away. it is not whether south korea will start a war but whether military action will occur in esponse to north korea's nuclear weapons development. it includes the possibility that the united states might take the military action. 38.6% of koreans say yes, that ilitary action will occur. 43.1% of koreans say no. 18.3
