>> we are attempting to get someone on the phone from the east bay. one of our writers working from home in the walnut creek area. no doubt they felt it because if we're hearing reports of the south bay as well. that is a significant shaker this morning. it is something to wake you up after 5:00 a.m. >>> this is a look at the seismograph. you can see the shaking that happen we can show you exactly where the epicenter was this morning as we zoom in to the area around the area. and we can see that it was right there in the delta and so, as we look at some of the nearby faults, we have a couple around the area. and we see this did not happen on one of those major faults, but we have a 4.1. that is a concern as people in the east bay felt that this morning. we are looking at the magnitude of a 4.1 as well as a depth of about 19 kilometers. that is fairly shallow. that can travel quite a distance in terms of the shaking and where it is felt. we have not had any reports this far with any damage, but it is pretty early and exactly what happened around that ar

in the east bay. gun owners and walnut creek must now lock up their guns at home city council members unanimously passed the requirement tuesday. this means unless they're being carried legally, all guns must be stored in a locked container or secured with a gun lock. this new rule does allow gun owners to store their weapons fully loaded in the north bay. more than 500 guns were turned in at marin counties, gun buyback event over the weekend. police say they collected 200 handguns and rifles and 150 shotguns. people also turned in an estimated 11,000 rounds of ammunition. law enforcement agencies say they will destroy the guns collected last saturday sometime within 2 months. this was the first gun buyback event held in moraine county since 2016. and local leaders say more are coming. now to a breaking news here. at least 3 people are dead and one critically injured after a shooting inside a manufacturing facility in western maryland. this is in smith's burned about 75 miles northwest of baltimore. a
