so the cooler air finally reaching some of those inland east bay valleys. 58 right now in san rafael, looking at some low clouds on approach, we'll see some of that spilling into the north bay valleys for the morning. and more of that fog into san francisco, currently at 58 degrees. so the cooling trend that's getting started right now will reach its peak in terms of the coolest temperatures midway through labor day weekend. and then after that, the heat makes a bit of a comeback as you're about to see in that 7-day forecast. so look at the 24 hour temperature change right now. the greatest contrast we're seeing around those areas south of san jose, out towards the inland east bay. and our wind speeds quite strong through fairfield. that will bring in the low clouds that we have around the inner bay and push them up towards the carquinez strait, maybe up towards the altamont pass. some patchy low clouds inland for the morning and then by mid morning back into the sunshine. and temperatures tomorrow will trend a little bit cooler than the highs we had today. and it's also a cooler star

forecast model is one of the few trying to develop showers and get them to run into the east bay and the santa clara valley by late tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening. move of the models don't have that. it is an outside chance. something we will be watching if the showers are thunderstorms, we don't want lightning strikes into the dry fire fuels. there is the fog, the view from the bottom up. it is just shrouding the buildings. the temperatures down to the middle 50s already in san francisco and santa rosa. the temperatures elsewhere, in the 60s, 71 degrees right now in livermore. the fact that the fog has been pushed all of the way down to ground level. you can see the top of the tower indicating the compressed nature of the marine layer that will limit how far in the inland valleys the fog will be able to spread. the terrain, not allowing the shaly fog to make it too far. it will be able to back up quickly, backing up to the coast late morning, plenty of sunshine for temperatures to warm up heading into tomorrow afternoon especially away from the water. running very close to normal around the bay a
