but one thing that really struck me, before i made the film, i was working in east los angeles as an organizer, i was working specifically with immigrant latino women, mothers. many times, they came to me, they didn't even know how i identified, they came to me and said, i really want to talk to my kids about sexuality and i don't know how. i don't have the language for it. i feel uncomfortable. i'm not sure. so, when they came to me, i was like, wow, our community wants to talk about it but they don't necessarily know how. i feel like films like this become tools for our community to begin to talk about that. so it really breaks that silence and makes it a little easier. >> helps them express. >> i think so. >> you kind of answered my next question. what do you want folks to go home with at the end of watching your film? >> i don't know if i have one main message. i think there's a lot of things you can walk away with. when i was writing this film, i was thinking about how i have often heard a love between two people of the same gend ever is something weird and unnatural and alien.

all along interstate 40, where the heaviest of the rain fell, goes to los angeles and cuts through the entire state of oklahoma, eastt flooding. you can see these pictures. flooding kills more people every year than any other phenomena, inland flooding. we saw flooding in arkansas day before yesterday and have not heard of reports of fatalities from flooding from this event. major flooding still going on, all kinds of areas with flash flood warnings. henrietta area in oklahoma city, a little bit east of oklahoma city on the way to arkansas on i-40, reporting all the roads under water at this point. still more rain coming unfortunately as well. seeing very heavy rain from indiana and kentucky, illinois, mostly clear except for southern illinois. and towards arkansas. right here, these storms in oklahoma city, you're clear right now but go to the east along i-40, where we're continuing to see the significant rain still falling 12 hours later, very heavy rainfall. today, 3 severe threat is not as significant but still there. we'll see tornadoes. the threat is anywhere from detroit, stretched from the big bend in texas.
