we watched almost live as this played out in east paris. but now we're finding out that there are images from inside. so these are the images you're probably familiar with. hyper cache, the store in which they actually ended up charging in simultaneously with the operation that was happening with the kouachi brothers north of paris. this is east paris in which amedy coulibaly was holding all those hostages. they blew through those glass windows. inside that market were surveillance cameras. the surveillance cameras captured a number of images and those are the images we're about to bring you on cnn as we continue to process them. we have them in intake, as we like to call it. we're looking carefully at them to make sure the images can be aired without anything that's difficult to process. so what happened was the images caught a few things that are of interest. number one, coulibaly was apparently holding a handgun. whether he had other weaponry, unknown at this time. but as the hostages escaped, four people were dead and the images we're a
