once again here for us, 79 in san jose. 80 in east san jose. 80 down to gilroy. more upper 70s to low 80s back here across the inland valleys. closer to the bail, also mild. 76 in oakland. 79 in fremont. the peninsula stays chilly at the coastline. a little of that ocean breeze staying in place with 63 in half moon bay. down to palo alto, 78. san francisco, mildest in the mission at 70. and an ocean breeze here for the marina will have you down to a cool 63. for the north bay, warmest weather in ukiah, 81 degrees. sonoma at 77. so tomorrow is going to be the warmest day in my seven-day forecast and then some big changes moving in. by thursday, storm system lines up off to the north. this will bring in cloud cover for friday so that will make it feel a lot different for us. then once we hit saturday's forecast, we get this cold front moving across for some spotty showers, 4:00 a.m. to about 10:30 on saturday morning. not a big storm but enough we could get a few sprinkles. trace amounts to a tenth of an inch. 40% to 50% chance of spotty showers sunday, monday, and

look at this to the east of san jose. don't see those colors too often.snow right now around mount hamilton. still coming down pretty good. 680 into the tri-valley, that's enough to cause ponding on the roads. watch out for that. may still see some of that into the morning even as the heavier, more widespread rain starts to move out. and then this cold core of unstable air, showers, starts to settle back in as we go through the day tomorrow. so for the morning, another band of rain moving through. we're not expecting it to stall out as much as the one is right now in the south bay. but notice by 3:00 and into the evening as the sun sets, we'll lose some of the instability. so showers will probably start to come down a little bit this time tomorrow night. but we could see maybe another half inch to an inch of rain in some of the wetter locations of the santa cruz mountains and the diablo range. again, picking up the most out of this particular storm and we could see more accumulating snow above 3,000 feet around the north bay and locations east of san jose

we will have some isolated 80s tomorrow. 80 in east san jose, 80 in gilroy. over to cupertino, got you at 78. for the east bay also warm here, no surprise for you. back in concord, pittsburgh, antioch, danville, 70s to 80. in the bay with the dryer direction coming out of the north it will boost our temperatures up to 79 in free mont. also 76 in oakland. the coast line, it will be chilly in half moon bay at 63. but you head over to smat 75. palo alto 78. san francisco some isolated heat in the mission. otherwise 63 in the marina. and right here up through the north bay we had 81 in ukiah. that's my warmest temperature tomorrow. 78 in novato, and 79 in napa. so looking great at least comfort wise as we move through tomorrow in the forecast. it's not going to stay like this all week. let's go ahead and fast forward to the next change just because we can. it's called a forecast. let's look. by 11:00 thursday night, there is this storm system lining up. i do think by friday in advance of that cloud cover increases, so quite a bit different there on friday. then on

san jose around 46 degrees. chilly temperatures and air that is cold enough to give us those snow showers now as low as 3,000 feet east of san jose. santa rosa 38 degrees. it will be chilly tomorrow morning, cold enough for snow. but the snow showers and the moisture will be mainly south of san francisco as we head towards tomorrow morning. upper 30s to low 40s for morning temperatures. highs in the mid to low 50s. morning rain for the south bay transitioning to scattered showers and, yes, a chance of hail. look at the radar right now. areas around the south bay just a steady coming down. radar is in the snow right now. we'll take you closer to san jose. campbell, willow glen, right there along highway 85. the rain is coming down pounding on the grounds. watch out for that. even as the rain lets up, all of what we're seeing right now, likely will cause flooding of the roads. those higher hills see the snow there, too. as you move away from freemont, rain there and showers around san francisco. notice the north bay not seeing a whole lot. most of the moisture will be aimed in. you can see that area of low pressure now

mostly sunny sky but look at what's happening at 2:00 to 3:00, a couple pop-up showers in the east san jose foothills and we're going to see a slight chance of some of those showers popping up. overall a chance to dry out until the rain returns by the end of the weekend when we could see the possibility of about a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain. our seven-day forecast shows that we will see those temperatures reaching into the mid-60s, up to 70 degrees going into saturday, sunday also looking pretty nice. expect more rain in the forecast. we only have a little bit of a window of mostly sunny skies. how is it looking for the commute? >>> mostly clear. and that's my forecast for the roadways. we do have a couple issues as we assure folks as we work remotely we have all of our utilities at home to bring them all the information. a look at the east bay. no problems to the bay bridge. crossing into san francisco we do have an issue coming over in towards treasure island. no slowing shows up on the system. i have the arrow on the map showing a big rig reported through the 280 split. that m

east of san jose under the clouds, snow around mt. hamilton and still rain around san martin and morgan hill. south of san mateo, and around san carlos and casto trvalley a the tri-valley, a little mix with sleet and the north bay relatively dry, as this keeps the peninsula and south bay in the rain again. the area of low pressure didn't move much today, and as it moves more south tomorrow, it brings in cooler air. higher peaks of the diablo range, and including the higher peaks of the santa cruz mountains could see a little small for tomorrow morning. rainfall totals through about tomorrow evening. it will be highest across the south bay, and we could see another half inch of rain, and 11:00, most of the rain kind of like what we are seeing now, lower peninsula down into the south bay. tomorrow morning, studier rain, and then as we head to about midafternoon, still more showers, a lot like the radar looks right now with the ongoing chances of snow out near mt. hamilton and mt. diablo for another day. and the same upper level low does

eight to ten inches of snow, on top mount hamilton and you can still see the snow off to the east of san jose, and tracking some showers, and partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies into san francisco. so for the morning, 30s and 40s, and still a chance of some hilltop snow showers, near mount hamilton, and highs tomorrow, just a little bit warmer, upper 50s for most spots and notice on the radar, morgan hill, dealing with some scattered showers, and it was a thunderstorm that rolled off the santa cruz mountains, so we're seeing some of that around the south bay and not as much activity as you head north a few pop-up showers in the hilltops there, north of santa rosa and the same area of low pressure that brought the weekend rain, slowly moving down the coast. so the next 24 hours, we will still see a chance of showers, especially early tomorrow morning, around the south bay, and off and on at times in the afternoon, and notice the interesting color coding, a chance of some more snow tomorrow morning, and 6:00 a.m., east of san jose, morgan hill, gilroy again tomorrow, waking up to some rain show

san jose. wet and, you know, we had a lot of ponding from the trees. they got rinsed out by the heavier rain that was around san jose which is off to the east now. starting to see the showers move out. you'll see that line approaching here in the next 15 to 20 minutes. for the most part, the most substantial rain of the weekend has already fallen. we'll see clouds approaching from the west. but for tomorrow, it'll be more about cloudy skies as opposed to actually being able to measure the rain like we had today. for the morning, a few light showers possible near the coast. look at the temperatures will be chilly. upper 30s to mid 40s tomorrow and highs staying cool as theine upper 50s to wrap up the weekend. a slight chance of showers tomorrow. in terms of being able to quantify it, there's not a lot there. as you can see anywhere from a quarter inch of rain to more than a half inch of rain. so it's not going to be like that tomorrow. but briefly we can see a few showers reaching the ground. and you'll notice how the clouds come in as we head toward morning and the best bet for finding the showers for your sunday plans right there near the coast

east san jose will reach 71 degrees and 68 in cupertino. gilroy a high of 69 degrees. 72 in martinez. oakland, 69. 68 in redwood city. we're going to see upper 60s in the mission district and the north bay reaching 69 degrees in mill valley. so we're seeing still a rain chance in the forecast for the south bay through 8:00 and going into the rest of the day rain chances will go down but the chance we could see one lone isolated shower moving through and then drying out for the rest of the week. then a couple more storm systems and we'll bring in some waves of rain and some sierra snow. for us we're looking at finally some measurable rain with the potential of half to three-quarters of an inch of rain in santa rosa. our seven-day forecast keeps it very warm and springlike from today through thursday as well as friday. then we're back to winter with off and on showers in the forecast from saturday, sunday as well as monday. this may taper off to light snow in our bay area peaks. we'll be watching that. right now you're seeing a very different

if you're looking east from san jose gilroy or morgan hill you see thunderstorms coming off the diablo range. they are falling apart before they get over 101. south from here you get down to monterey county. it is pouring on 101. that is just to the south for the majority of us. a close-up view the showers while they are close should not have a major impact on anybody throughout the course of the afternoon. we will keep a close eye over the next few hours. everything falls apart. look at thursday. those are sunny skies. nothing happening there. thursday morning temperatures only go down to the middle and upper 40s. these temperatures tomorrow morning lows are only about five or 6 degrees below with the daytime highs are going to be. by the time we get to saturday and sunday. you will see that in one second. here are thursday's daytime highs. low to middle 70s. tomorrow will be warmer than today. we will knock some numbers up for thursday and friday. here comes the next storm. saturday second half of the day. we are not going to get too specific on any of this yet. it is still far out.
