we're watching a storm system dragging a lot of warmth and moisture off the eastern seaboard. thunderstorms in florida. the only areas dealing with snow is northern new england and up through north dakota. the first stop is northern new england. burlington now at 33 degrees and warm enough now but from portland to maine we get a couple of inches of snow before it changes over to sleet and then rain. the morning commute is going to be rough. all southern areas. from boston to albany and hartford warm enough. just all rain and a lot of warm air. we could get into the 60s today from areas of coastal maryland, delaware and up through new jersey. ridiculously warm once again. but watch a line of showers and storms coming through and that is right now and into the mountainous areas of west virginia and harrisburg and roanoke. d.c. need the umbrella and rimm richmond. tampa you're about to get trenched and during the heart of the morning commute located over the top of i-4. the forecast we do have snow showers up to the northern plains. a little colder today in denver. the east coast

we're going to see a huge warmup on the eastern seaboard. highs get up to 17 degrees in d.c. and 12 degrees in new york. finally, let's go to europe. we can see a completely different picture between the east and west. a high pressure system is bringing dry and sunny conditions to much of the eastern sections. we can see multiple systems over western areas. we are looking at winter precipitation in ireland, france and thunderstorms in italy. over the next 24 hours, the peer knees and alpine will get snow. much of ireland and northern ireland gets dryer starting tuesday evening. arctic chill continues to cover much of the area, pushing down temperatures. only 2 degrees expected for tuesday's highs in paris, 4 degrees in london. across the east, minus 14 in kiev, which is ten degrees lower than average. here is the extended forecast. >>> once again, ai uchida joins us with the outcome of the eu summit. >> they are trying to get tougher on themselves with budgets and how much they spend. the summit yesterday appears to be one step forward in this direction. >> translator: today

as we head up the eastern seaboard a chilly 22 for boston. new york at 25 degrees.t's where we're going to be for the overnight lows with the temperatures into the 20s. take a look at the national map. you can see all that warm air to the south. we're going to get the benefit of that as we move through into the extended period. we will see a little bit of a warmup. wet weather is coming back into the forecast, looks like sunday night. here we go. we're going to see some rain, even a chance of freezing drizzle in there. a little bit of ice mixed in. monday, we'll deal with wet ice. be prepared and out to the far west, cumberland and areas through there, you will anticipate seeing at least some more snow and some mix. so be prepared. temperatures tonight into the low to mid-20s. it's going to be pretty chilly out there. ridge of high pressure in control. we're going to see a weak front start to move through on monday. ahead of that, we're going to get quite a nice warmup. temperatures will rise. we get a far cry from where we're going to be where temperatures are only
