just this morning around 3:00, a house just off the edwards exit of 580 in oakland caught on fire. that fire started in the granny in law unit at the back of the house and spread to the main property where the husband and wife were sleeping with their children. the wife heard a crackling noise and saw a yellow glow outside the window, jumped outside the house called 911 and fire crews responded quickly, evacuated the husband/wife and son safely. but there is one person potentially missing. as you mentioned, the brother of the woman who lives in the home lives in that in-law unit in the back and they don't know if he was spending the night in the property. they think he may have been somewhere else. they have called in this morning, haven't been able to get him. so still wondering about his safety and his whereabouts. as for that fire, started out as two alarm, downgraded to one alarm and it was put out in 30 minutes. the back unit that the brother was living in was filled with a lot of items. the sister called him a pack rat so they are going through the debris to figure out the ca
