edwin ramos took the stand in his own defense yesterday.erry mcsweeney is live at the hall of justice with more on his testimony. >> reporter: might be a little rougher today for 25-year-old edwin ramos on the stand yesterday. today at some point the prosecution is expected to take over the questioning and it might be rougher on the man who prosecutors say shot and killed tony bologna and two of his sons in 2008. take a look at the crime scene from that day. ramos on the stand testifying he did not shoot anyone he was driving a car with a friend who opened fire. ramos talked about how difficult his childhood was beaten by his mother's boyfriend. the prosecution has a surviving bologna son who says ramos did the shooting and they have much more in the way of evidence. >> we presented nearly 100 witnesses over 500 pieces of evidence. this is a very, very strong case. >> reporter: prosecution says ramos is a member of the 20th street gang. they have an affiliation with the violent latin american gang m-13. the case received national attention
