as we have been reporting since monday, elon musk tweeted on monday that the plant was reopened and ane i spoke to even telling me she was called back to work after furlough over the weekend. musk got the backing of president trump pushing the state to let manufacturing reopen at the plant. it's been an ongoing back and forth between alameda county and tesla. at odds with county health orders that are currently more restrictive than state guidelines that legally order the plant only maintain minimum basic operations. it said in part, we will be working with fremont police department to verify tesla is adhering to physical distancing and that agreed upon health and safety measures are in place. the social distancing inside of the plant is one of the things that worker i spoke with expressed to me as a concern. fremont police and mayor lily may have made it clear that no arrests will be made at the plant and i will mention that elon musk has been rather silent on twitter this morning. expecting to beisoing battleit the county with production able to fully resume it appears next week. rep

a major development in the fight between elon musk and alameda county. late tonight the county changing its tune after reviewing governor newsom's plan for reopening manufacturing. county leaders now say they're okay with tesla reopening its plant in fremont yesterday. you'll recall musk sued alameda county over the weekend before he started making cars without permission. county leaders say they held a productive talk with tesla about its safety plan for workers, and they are now on board with tesla ramping up this week for full production on monday. now, the standoff between tesla and alameda county caught the attention of president trump. today the president tweeting his support of elon musk, writing, quote, california should let tesla and elon musk open the plant now. so that's the question, open, wait a bit, or hold off until summer. that is the dilemma tonight for counties across the state after the governor gave the green light for restaurants and malls to ramp up. staying a full stop, though, los angeles, which will likely keep its stay-at-home or
