eric. we are some 10 hours away from the rally beginning in henderson and yet there are already a good number of trump supporters lined up outside the screen you for what will be -- venue for what will be an indoor rally today. the rallies have been reconvened. the original airport locations were scuffled because of the governor's rules against gatherings of more than 50 of people here. there were a lot more than 50 people last night at president trump's rally in northern nevada, just outside of reno, the small town of minden. several thousand on-hand there as the president went after nevada's governor, quite plainly blaming him for the rallies being rearranged and saying he couldn't be trusted to run mail-in voting here. listen. >> he was a political hack and then he became governor and this is the guy that we're entrusting with millions of ballots, unsolicited ballots, millions and millions, and then we're supposed to win these states and we have a guy that would do that where he won't le

eric. eric: christina, you can see the thick smoking choke in that video and you can see it behind you right now. what are the concerns about the air quality in these hard-hit areas? >> reporter: well, the air quality right now is horrible. you can almost taste the smoke, that's just covering this entire area. on a normal september day, you would be able to see some of the hills just outside of this canyon but you can't because of all of this smoke pol pollution. there are smoky scenes like this up and down the west coast with some 60 active wildfires burning. the west has the worst air quality in the world. portland, seattle, los angeles, have air quality indexes higher than 150 which is considered unhealthy. in some places the levels are so high it's considered hazardous. people are advised to stay inside, especially with medical conditions and this dangerous air is expected to last at least throughout this weekend. eric. eric: all right, christina. thank you. laura? >>> our team fox cove
