joining me now, congressman eric swalwell of california., you have been on the receiving end of targeted right-wing western campaigns and i believe back in january showed a death threat that had been left on your voice mail. what does it feel like? what does it mean for a person's life to be at the center of a coordinated hate operation like that? >> thank you, alicia. when it comes to death threats, the first priority of course is your family and your staff. they're in a fixed position, often as we saw in the paul pelosi attack. oftentimes the target of these threats, they're on the move. and you're never in a fixed position. so you worry that it's your family or staff that would suffer the consequences. but you also have to make it clear that that is not going to stop you from doing your job, speaking out against maga extremism. and i make that clear every day. i'm afraid that we just don't have the resources right now to protect elected officials, to protect school board officials who are often bearing the brunt of maga extremism. and so
