eric waxler joins us live from a new port richey sand bag pick- up location out there. how are things out there, eric? >> reporter: wendy, it has been raining all day long. this station at mitchell park in new port richey has given out 2400 of these sand bags. right now if you do come by, there's the sand. you will have to fill up the bags yourself because the inmates have left. the ones that were helping fill the bags for residents. but there is plenty of dirt here. we heard about a situation in spring hill from one of our viewers through facebook. she told us about day breeze drive in spring hill. it looks like a bomb went off. grand pianos and they are filled with water. the rain that we're getting now and possibly tomorrow will trap them at home. they recovering from the flooding in june. and here we go again. >> it's going to get ten times worse. and my car won't be moving because as it is, it needs work. i just had to put four brand- new tires on it because of this road. so, you know, it is what it is. today because of this. >> reporter: a lot of people wondering w

eric waxler is live in new port richey with one of the biggest causes for concern out there. eric. >> reporter: yeah. we're at mitchell park in new port richey. we're seeing heavy rain. the sand bags though are being they can to protect their homes. they're used to this drill. this particular station has given out about 2500 sand bags so far. and people keep coming. when the tropical storm comes, the storm surge is expected to be one to two feet from hud san, jasmine estates are at risk for flooding as well. the real worry for many is the river. when it spills out, it really causes trouble for so many. the river flooding could end up causing issues even the storm passes. >> when that storm surge and that tide comes into the river, it's going to create basically a bathtub effect. it will come into the river but it won't be able to get out. that will increase a lot of water in a short period of time. >> reporter: yeah. you see these residents here filling up sand bags. of they were helping someone they didn't even know, a stranger, a woman fill up her as the rain comes down, it

eric waxler is live in port richie with the race to stay ahead of all of the rain. eric. >> reporter: hey, wendy. yeah. there was a lot of rain earlier today. the flood waters were the problem here in port richie on this street all started because this retention pond overflowed. you see the trucks from the county have been working to try to pump as much water as possible. that tanker down there holds 6,000 gallons. this truck right here, and there have been three of them coming back and forth today. this holds 3,000 gallons. look how it is sucking up this water here. it has definitely made a difference. in fact, we can walk back right here and see where the was and now how it razz reseated back. people are definitely worried that more storms will cause more damage and more flooding here. we are walking through what was john's front lawn. >> it's just going to keep coming. >> reporter: now his yard is covered in close to 2 feet of water, creeping closer and closer to his front door. >> we're right now looking at our options and where we can go so i can at least get an

eric waxler joins us live with what happened over there. eric. >> reporter: yeah, wendy. investigation unit or cpi as it is known has turnover rates he at the pasco sheriffs. we're talking about people who deal with children in the worst possible circumstances, including abuse. well, one of those investigators, this woman, christine mcrobbie, broke the law just to finish one of these cases. >> you don't know if you can trust anything that she said. >> reporter: in april mcrobbie was assigned the case of a family of a husband and wife accused of abusing drugs. falsified documents and said they were clean. after the parents tested positive in hillsborough county, the lies were exposed. her reason for doing it, she just wanted to close the case quickly and move on to the next one. >> we don't rush on cases. they're thoroughly done. especially when it comes to a child, you do everything in your power to protect those children. >> reporter: as it turns out the mother gave birth days ago and the infant is also addicted to hydrocodone. the father admitted when he should have bee
