. >> jenny joyce live in evesham township with more on this story. hi, jenny. >> reporter: good morning, lauren and chris. one happened in oakland, new jersey, the other happened here in evesham township. they are about 15 miles apart, about 30 minute drive from one another. as you mentioned, police are now investigating to see whether or not the two attempted child lurings could be connected. we have some surveillance video from the evesham township police department. they released of this incident, that happened on january 16th. they happened again about half hour from one another, one was at 4:00 p.m., the other as 4:30, police say, the evesham township luring happened in the sanctuary neighborhood near a playground off of peter heard way. the video shows a ten and 11 year old boy, who were approached, in oaklyn. it was a six year old boy and his friends who were the victims of the attempted lurings. they were playing football on manor avenue. we talk to one of the boys moms. she did not want to be identified but was able to describe the interacti

but when kids did not bite in oaklyn, he tried again here in evesham. this is a neighbor's home security video of a 10 and 11-year-old boy. minding their own business. >> they were scared. i mean they did a great thing picking the phone. >> reporter: police say, once kids went beyond the trees in evesham, a suspicious, dark volvo approached and backed up. you can see headlighted in the top right corner of your screen. >> which time the driver, the male, asked the children if they would like any candy. >> reporter: it was an immediate red flag for the kids. rebecca thompson is a friend. >> we know the boy. he ran home, said he was going to call 911. >> reporter: the driver had gray hair, in his 60s, teenager and with long, blond hair his passenger. the two sped off. it's clear on camera, the neighborhood was unfamiliar turf. evesham say the video speaks volumed. >> they believe they saw something. this shows what the children are advising parents and police did happen. the vehicle description was right on. the direction of travel, it stopping. >> reporte

evesham police say couple a approached the brothers asking if they wanted some candy, evesham police were called in and carried out a search but they did not find that couple. lieutenant joseph freel says that or rather tells us how the incident unfolded. >> vehicle pulls chose and male says out the window to the kids do you want some candy. the bone child has a cell phone in his pocket. he pulls his cell phone out. pretend he will make a phone call and saying he will call the police. >> a very smart move, by that boy, pretending to call police in that case, we do know that police are looking for a couple, a man and a woman that man said to be in his 60's or 70's with gray hair, woman said to be younger perhaps in her teens and 20's with long belong hair. about a half an hour earlier that same day in nearby oaklynn police say that there a couple in the dark sedan approached three children with a similar mo but in that case police say the the couple were both described as being older, however, if you have any tips in either case you are urged to call police. erika, back over to you. >
