france beating expectations. italy maybe labor market reform being put to use but also the reason we're seeing gdp come in better than expected overall is qe. we're seeing the benefits of it. >> let's bring in one of the other individual countries. greece's data also included in the latest flashes plus 0.3% year on year that's compared to 1.3%. 0.4% compared to minus 0.3% in q-4. it's improved slightly on a quarterly perspective but worsened on an annual perspective. giving us the time frame of where they stand in terms of their economy and what they're up to at the moment. >> it's interesting to see how markets are responding to the variety of data over the next couple of days because this gdp number is slightly below expectations at 24% but still better than what we're seeing in the u.s. or u.k. but is good news bad news for the markets because it tells us that mario draghi's quantitative easing plan will end sooner than expected. >> to me it stems from the bubble bursting relating to the latest bout of quantit

what are you expecting and how do you expect markets to respond, todd? you know i think we're looking for about 250,000. you know, the markets are very proverse right here. if you get a great number that might indicate we're going to raise rates which would probably create a much bigger sell off in the market. we've seen the markets under pressure the last couple of day with the exception of yesterday but the bond market has been pricing in an interest rate rise which means they're anticipating a good number here. now the real problem here is that the numbers themselves, the jobs we have been creating have not been real good solid jobs. more of the minimum wage and service jobs so the report itself is really meaningless. if the number is good i think you're going to see a very hard sell off in this market and if the market number is very bad indicating that the bond market is wrong and rates are not going to rise. that free money drug we have been playing off for the last five years will push the markets up higher and possibly up to new highs. i think th

what can we expect? annetta is there with a preview. >> of course we can have all sorts of questions on top of the list i would say, above all it will be greece. looking at that report they now call for debt forgiveness from the eu creditors because they judge the level of debt in greece to be too high to be sustainable. that will be a serious standoff between the imf and also the german government. remember the german government was lobbying for months that the greek get their level is sustainable. if they stick to their program f they cut expenses. if they cut costs. do reforms. then by 2022 they will reach that level in line with the eu treaties. that's the line they have been sticking to all over the years. it will be super interesting to see what he will answer to questions regarding that imf call which was reported by the financial times. that meeting had been taking place just last week. that will be one major topic. another question will be what he thinks the next meeting will yield in terms of p

that also beating expectations. so gdp up 2.1% year over year in hong kong and also on the quarter up 0.4%. that's quarter over quarter. now consumer confidence falling from 4.5 to 41.7. meanwhile, they repeated the stance saying further expansion in monetary easing is not needed at this point but some disagree. thank you for joining us. what do you make of the recent data? >> it suggests that abenomics lost a bit of steam. our thinking is that talking the economy s'up needed. further monetary easing they're clearly reluctant to press harder on the monetary accelerator. at some point a little bit more action is needed now too. probably not quite at this stage. we would agree with that. >> but isn't it better to address that earlier rather than later? they were hoping for further modesty depreciation and some elements of the deflation picture still suggests there's downward pressure. so those two are a disappointment. >> at some point should we see governor address the appreciation in the yen through unconventional m

better than expected. slightly lighter guidance for the full year. total revenue is expected to be between 161 and $165 million with sales growth to be mid to single digits. shake shack expects to open ten new stores throughout the year here. interesting headlines, they expect inflated food and paper costs in the remainder of 2015 due to continued pressure of beef prices. again, more details coming up in the conference call. another burger chain here jack in the box posting earnings after the bell. the company's second quarter results beat on the top and bottom lines. comparable store sales up by nearly 7.5%. analysts expected a gain of 6.8% in terms of sales. jack in the box increased the quarterly dividend to 30 cents a share from 20 cents. a 50% increase. >> thanks, dom. it seems glad they threw in the caveat about the higher cost. >> a great point. obviously they're kind of setting expectations here. but they also beat by $3.8 million in the quarter and then they guided down a little bit for the year.
