an f.b.i. agent said the f.b.i. offered $1 million to corroborate. the agent testified the f.b.i.rump campaign advisor. the government argues danchenko was the subject of a counter intelligence investigation from 2009 and john durham says he was a paid f.b.i. informant. this could be john durham's last stand in this investigation when it comes to a trial. we're talking about stuff that happened six years ago. the statute of limitations is starting to wind down in many cases but we expect john durham to release a public report, a narrative laying out his case to the public, bill. >> bill: just to be clear on this. he testified, the f.b.i. put a million dollars on the line if he could prove his report. he didn't take the money. what does that tell us? >> correct. well, it shows that the f.b.i. still went forward with this fisa warrant against carter page, renewing it multiple times even though christopher steele could not corroborate his dossier. the f.b.i. still went with the dossier and what durham is getting at today. he will have the f.b.i. agent on stand for another hour or so.

the f.b.i.'s 2021 crime in the nation's summary released this week. it estimates the nation's murder rate rose by more than 4% from 2021 over 2020. but that report is missing some critically important data. for some reason police departments in the biggest blue cities are not submitting their numbers to the f.b.i. the bureau has to resort to estimating how much crime is happening in crime-ridden cities like chicago, philadelphia, los angeles, and new york. question, is the crime crisis much worse than even we think? here are some actual stats from those cities. overall crime is up 37% in chicago. 26% in philadelphia. nearly 12% in los angeles, 32% in new york city. let's take a live look at this. it is so bad in new york that the nypd commissioner is holding a news conference right now to address the crime stats as we speak. we wanted to show you a live look at that and may be able to do that coming up. for now house minority leader kevin mccarthy was just with me yesterday. >> why is crime at a level it hasn't been in 20 years? because democrats defu
