this is eastbound 80 in through fairfield. folks, if you're traveling away from our viewership and heading up toward davis, no. eastbound 80 will be basically blocked at air base parkway because of a deadly crash. word is, it will take several hours to clear that you can use west texas to exit and then take calvert calvert over toward north texas. that will take you past the incident. it's a major surface street, so allow slower speeds. this part of contra costa county is just fine with typical slowing here, as well as highway 37 in the north bay. but another issue here west 580 coming in through castro valley there is that crash still in lanes at eden canyon road. no word on when they can reopen, but speeds are starting to improve a little bit. i'm tracking that closely, but chp has called an alert for here through sunol south 680, a disabled big rig blocks your slow lane and that may take a while. they need a special heavy duty tow truck to clear that rig. so right now there's already slowing out of pleasanton, heading down

i mean, you look at fairfield right there, gusts. 39 miles per hour livermore. 36 miles per hour. now, let's take you overnight. and i do think from this afternoon overnight into tomorrow morning in particular could be the worst of this. you can see where some of these gusts here, napa, 40 miles per hour. fairfield 50, you get the idea and obviously a very kind of north northeasterly direction starts to take shape, really pure offshore wind, meaning that it is going to be warming things up and drying things out. now this is wednesday morning. so we are still in it tomorrow throughout the day, even into the evening here about 5 o'clock. then we get to thursday. now we start to catch a break. now we start to see these numbers come back. we don't exactly see the return of our on-shore flow yet, but at least it's a step in the right direction. kind of releasing when gradient. so this high pressure is going to keep moving in and that low pressure dropping down. you could see that is wednesday afternoon about 5.30, and then we'll start to see a difference when everything starts to relea

we have mid 50s right now in santa rosa, petaluma, napa, upper 50s at fairfield, concord and livermore, and these are our forecast headlines tonight. just a few isolated showers. rainfall totals. additional totals will be maybe 1 or 2 hundredths of an inch. tomorrow and tuesday bright and breezy conditions. but wednesday through saturday, that atmospheric river we've been talking about will start flowing and we expect rain for several consecutive days with the heaviest rain initially being in the north bay. what's left of our current storm, though, will just be a few scattered or isolated showers tonight. and again, rainfall totals. additional totals will be maybe one two hundredths of an inch. it'll all be out of here by about 11:00 tonight, except for a few trailing showers that will move down along the coastline, but are not likely to move onshore and produce any significant wet weather. so again, just a few hundredths of an inch of additional rainfall totals expected. overnight lows will be pretty chilly up in the north bay, where they'll drop down to 34 at santa rosa, 38 at napa.
