it's happening on farwell drive near mallory avenue. firefighters got the call about 4:30 this morning. we understand three people have been rescued from the home and taken to the hospital. their conditions are unknown at this hour but a neighbor tells us they were performing cpr on two of them. one firefighter was taken to the hospital. marla tellez is at the scene gathering the latest information for us. we'll get an update from her coming up. >>> let's move to a developing story in the east bay. a wild fire is burning out of control there on the eastern side of mt. diablo. right now new evacuation orders are in place as flames continue burning through 1500 acres of brush and grass. firefighters working hard battling this fire. many more are on the way to help as the fire there moves south away from clayton and close to the northeast side of mt. diablo state park. we can tell you we have a team in place with complete coverage of the long morning ahead for the firefighters and the crews out there. and for the people that have been forc

this is farwell drive menear mallory avenue. what can you tell us? a very intense situation. we got here about 20 minutes ago, i've been speaking to neighbors. you can see this is a heavily involved fire that was called in by neighbors at 4:31. so these firefighters from fremont fire, they have been fighting these flames for about 90 minutes now. one neighbor tells me that at its height the flames were 40 to 50 feet up shooting out of the center of the home from the roof. you mentioned two people rescued, actually i'll tell you that according to neighbors this home is vacated by a family of three. a married couple and their son who is said to be in his 20s. they did get these people out. however, a neighbor on scene tells me that when he came out to see what was going on he saw two people being worked on, cpr being done by some paramedic crews, also we're hearing that one firefighter was injured with second-degree burns. we are waiting to get that information. all of this information coming to me from neighbors in this area. but still as i said, two-
