that's a real black mark against the fbi.t is durham -- i mean, he's trying to get a conviction of danchenko for lying to the fbi, but that's a relatively minor charge as these things go. so what is his larger purpose here, and what is he trying to get out to the public? >> yeah. i think the goal with this case and also michael sussmann who he unsuccessfully tried before, in both of those cases he brought the tried if and true lying to the federal government charges because those are the kind of cases that prosecutors have the best shot of winning. we'll see how he comes here. but if you look at his filings, paul, and the evidence and witness testimony we get, what is very clear is that he is also telling the story of fbi incompetence and political chi cannery. it has been very -- chicanery. it has been very clear that the fbi from the beginning knew if it didn't have the goods to make any sort of case. and yet for whatever reason, it closed its eyes to the to holes of witnesses and sources that had come to them and seemed to
