you're looking at people like ruben gallego in arizona, if he wins his race, and senator fetterman fromennsylvania who is not in the senate the first time they tried it on voting rights. he supports a carveout he's going to be essentially replacing senator manchin's vote on that. if they do have the majority, they would be up to do these filibuster carveouts on issues like abortion and union rights. that will be interesting to watch, especially if you want carveouts, does that lead to the gutting of the legislative filibuster entirely? that has been a concern of many senators of both parties for many years. >> the last question is about mitch mcconnell. posted today that he diffuses to answer the question of what is your prediction of who will win? >> mitch mcconnell often declines to weigh in as a political pundit, so it's not surprising that he would say that. republicans are looking at the money and getting nervous and also some of the polling on the democratic side. also with the democratic senate candidates and incumbents in states that are going to be totally necessary for republi

the hunting, they think he codes right, and that could be a little bit true, maybe in the way that fetterman can bring on a sort of different kind of swing voter, more of those obama/trump voters, working-class voters, less so than the college educated suburban types. but i would be nervous about his progressive record. unlike josh shah peer whoa who doesn't have a huge record to take apart, walz has had a lot of votes. that could be a liability when her liability is na people view her as a san francisco progressive. i think you'd want balance on that ticket. you know, i can sort of see a case for both of them. i take shapiro. i think it's the most straightforward way. but if walz is as good a way've seen him, he could put people in play that currently aren't. >> it's so interesting. i was on the congressional campaign when he was running for congress, but people have learned about him in the last couple of weeks, kind of a reminder of the democratic big bench. he's gained a lot of fans pushes this weird label that other people have taken on, labeling vance and trump. what do you think? the

tell us about the backlash he's facing including some from his own state, fetterman suggesting that they weren't sure shapiro was the right pick. >> yeah. some people have expressed concerns that he may be to the right of kamala harris, but i will say harris has seemed to at least shown she's shifted from some of her own progressive stances. she now opposes a ban on fracking, also supports biden's policy on not raising tacks over $400,000. there was a comment he made earlier this year when we saw some of those pro palestine protests on college campuses when he seemed to compare those protests with kkk members. that has not gone over well. some think it's just because he's jewish. he's been called one of the worst leaders of all time. he says he's been leading the country in the wrong direction. i think it's a nuanced answer when it comes to israel and the middle east. but at the end of the day, the vp is going to have such a huge weight on vice president harris. she's going to be inheriting a huge policy if she's elected. of course, there's the conflict in the middle east and the war on
