live here in camden, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", erika? >> our thoughts with that trooper, justin, thank you. developing right now commuter train derails in central california. amazing images here. one rail car there lies partially submerged in a creek about 45 minutes east of san francisco. authorities say that train derailed when it hit a large tree that fell on to the tracks during heavy rain. nine people suffered injuries, amazingly, no one was killed. the train was caring more than 200 passengers are silicon valley. >> woman and two girls struck by tow truck in kensington. police say the victims were crossing the street last night near b and ontario when they were hit. we're told good samaritan returned the girls ages one and four to nearby st. christopher's hospital. the four year old suffered the most serious injuries, and is in critical condition. their 24 year old mother is also in critical condition. investigators believe the tow truck driver did have the right of way. >> from witnesses, as well as a business, that has exterior c

erika, back over to you. >> justin finch for us, thanks for the update. new this morning, teenage boy shot in the point breeze section of philadelphia. it happened around 11:30 near the 1600 block of wharton street. police say the bullet hit the 18 year old in the leg. he was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. no word on the suspect at this time. >>> secretary of state, john kerry, has just arrived in belgium for counter terror talks with the eu. officials there are admitting they missed warning signs that could have prevented tuesday's suicide bombing in brussels. we've also learned at least two of the suspect who carry out the attacks were on us watch list. meantime, the anti-terror tactics are intensifying. six people have been detained during series of raids in belgium. authorities continue to search for at least one bombing suspect, who is still on the run. belgium has lowered its terrorist red alert level, but officials warn isis may be planning new attacks in belgium and across europe. today is good friday when christians around the

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us at south detectives with what the the police are saying about the shooting, justin, some questions here, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. police say the six five-year old shooter used his 45 caliber handgun to shoot his two younger alleged attackers, once each, and ending what was a physical fight. all three were taken to hospitals and witnesses were interviewed, here, including the shooter's wife. chopper three high over the queen village section where on the ground third district police were launching an investigation. >> just after 8:30 p.m. third district police responded to a 911 call to a report of two people shot on the highway, in the 700 block of out second street. upon police arrival they found two victims. >> reporter: two males, 20 and 21 lying not far from this bar. twenty year-old with the shot to his chest, 21 year-old shot in the neck. police also quickly uncovered what led to the shooting. >> based on preliminary information and witness information, the shooter who remained on the scene is aged 65, he was walking h

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joining us now at septa's frankford transportation center with the latest information on this. justin, good morning. >> erika, good morning, the search is on for the man and the woman police say that he forced into the back seat of his car, all eyes right now are on the bus. this is the bus that woman was on at just about 2:00 this morning, this bus was stopping at roosevelt boulevard and langdon, that's whether the septa driver we are told noticed he was being tailed by a silver pontiac grand am, or grand prix. the man got out of that car, and began screaming at the bus, also, banking on that bus there where you see the glass. we're told that may have been the area where that woman was sitting at the time of this incident. let's take you now to video, that area has since been dusted for prints. police say the woman was screaming on the bus that this man is crazy, the man again tried getting on a second time about four, five blocks down when this man cut the actual bus off in the middle of the road. the man then got out of the car then got inside

want to check in with "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch. he joins us at septa's frankford transportation center. justin, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, police are looking for that woman as well as the man they say abducted her, pulled her from this bus behind us here, at the frankford transportation center, now being processed by septa police, as well as philadelphia police. as you can see the fourth window on the driver side of that bus, that damage to that bus was done by the alleged kidnapper, in this case. let's take to you video from overnight of the roosevelt boulevard where this all took place at about 2:00. this morning police say that bus was being tailed by a silver or gray pontiac vehicle, perhaps a grand pre of some sort. eventually further south the car cut off the bus and a man got out of the pontiac, he then approached the bus, went around to the other side where the woman he was after was aboard. she was exit that bus, police say, and now actually exited the man in the car came around and started punching he

"eyewitness news" reporter just continue finch joins us a at chop where that little girl is being treated, hard to believe, justin, good morning. >> reporter: strange story here this is proof that seconds count that is all that leather staffer had when she realized a little girl has put her life in danger yesterday. this all began around 9:00 a.m. tuesday at works of learning day care on the 5100 block of haverford and west philadelphia other kid were there too and they are all okay. just before breakfast the alert staffer noticed a three-year old girl was chewing on something, but no food was yet served. the closer look that worker say a small bag in the girl's mouth. the bag did have a white residue that the staffer recognized as crack cocaine a. she called the girl's parents and drove the child to chop herself wasting in time fearing that the girl had swallowed the drug and it turns out traces of crack were found in her system so chop did hold her for observation with her parenting having been staying bye her side. >> obviously they are shock when they get the phone call. anyone would

we have team coverage of this spring snowstorm beginning with meteorologist elise finch tracking it in the weather center. >> we had such an incredibly mild winter. i know this is not what people were expecting for the first day of spring. alas, this is what we have. we're looking at snow on your vortex radar, and you can see we've got snow that is definitely making it to the ground and in some places sticking across long island. we're seeing that heavier snow traveling up the new jersey shore and across long island. those are the areas seeing the biggest snow totals when it's all said and done. it's not a major snow event but it is significant considering it's the first day of spring. here's a picture showing you what's going on and also that we're still seeing moisture moving up. the area of low pressure itself is just offshore, and will pass southeast of long island and result, we are going to see some winter weather alerts that are in effect that will remain morning. so monmouth and ocean counties are under a winter weather advisory, same for nassau, western and eastern suffolk. th
