eric fisher is chief meteorologist at our cbs sister station in boston, wbz. >> erika is a disorganized tropical storm but it butt it doesn't take a lot when you have the tropical rain to cause a lot of issues. puerto rico, the northern shores of the dominican republic, and tropical storm watches out for the turks and cacos. this is the track as we head through the next few days. it should cross puerto rico tonight, remain a tropical storm as it moves off to the north and west. it's when it arrives in the bahamass this weekend that we see uncertainty in the track. that's why you see the track cone expanding at this point. towards the beginning of the week it's expected to be a category 1 hurricane at least off the shore of florida and drift its way northward as we head into the week. once we get to the bahamass it encounters everywhere warm waters. that is fuel for tropical systemssystems and winds sheeridize down. the steering currents parallel the coast so this should be a a storm along the southeast coast for several days next week, a story that will stick around for many days. >> du
