you mentioned clashing with ari fleischer when he worked for george w. bush. is there some difference in the discourse and the coarseness of the language. >> no. i don't think the threats are any worse than before or the implied loss of access or being shut out if you don't do things -- that i've seen all throughout. i really do think it's just in the tone of the language. i think people writing from the executive office of the president or from the house majority leader, i've received those too, tend to be using language you would more expect to be used on -- >> some people are saying right now, ryan, these people are whining. if you want to play ball at this level you have to expect some brush back. >> i agree with them. there's nothing that says that the people we cover have to be nice to us. the first amendment does not say anything about the people in power, you know, giving you access or being polite, but i do agree with you. there was a chief mo attitude by the white house, led by rob emanuel. >> i would be stunned if rob emanuel ever used any f. bombs.

when you look at the people who are involved in drawing it together, a top ally of jeb bush, ari fleischer who is a big tent republican. the national committee women from puerto rico. the national committee from south carolina who happens to be african-american. these are folks who understand the party has a message problem. the problem is there are lots of republicans and conservatives who think a different message is a better message. >> ifill: this is what the party chairman and the party mainstream says but that's not necessarily what anybody else is saying who is driving the party. >> that's right. who has been the foot soldiers for g.o.p. for a generation have been provided by evangelical christianes and social conservatives who would not be happy with a party that moderated its position on abortion rights or that embraced same-sex marriage. that's one problem. where is some of the energy from the party now? who won the c-pac straw poll, rand paul not an establishment republican, a person from the libertarian wing of the party. they are not together on some of the mechanical things.

joining me now is david fleischer from first trust financial resources. long view capital management. gentlemen, nice to have you on the program. david, 30 seconds, what do you want to be prepared for tomorrow? >> well, the markets will continue to digest today's housing and employment figures, but the fly in the ointment will continue to be cyprus and the form and structure of that will be a market mover. on two ends of the spectrum. you have dartan restaurants and tiffany. although the markets are resilient, still a high entry point for those on the sidelines. >> christian, you're next. 30 seconds, what do you want to be prepared for? >> we're focusing tomorrow on continued weakness in the commodity market, focusing on copper and crude oil. we expect any further volatilities in that market could bleed two other asset classes very much as it did today. at the same time, we're beginning to see decoupling of risk in u.s. equities in europe. >> all right. great. michael, over to you. what do you want to watch tomorrow? >> my eyes are on europe tomorrow morn
