pretty big thunderstorms going through fort myers right now. back closer to home you can see throughout pinellas county most of this is just light to moderate rain. a little bit heavier as you head down towards downtown st. petersburg. these will continue to work their way across the bay into hillsborough county some heavier showers throughout eastern polk county working their way over towards osceola county and down towards orlando. right down here we've seen some pretty good rotation in a cell that has been working its way towards fort myers possibly a tornado forming the rain that will continue to work its way through as we go through the evening hours. down to our south temperatures have been warmer we have a warm front here. so anything to the north of that we are seeing the temperatures a little bit cooler running into the 60s, 70s and some 80s down to our south. and this front here that will continue to swing on towards the east and then secondary front pushes through through the early part of the week. that will bring these temperatures

am it has been coming in all the way across alligator alley so we have been watching miami and fort myers making sure everyone is okay and it sounds like minor injuries from the tornadoes. so the rain. we are tracking is not severe. although there are places around inglewood and they are coming down heavily. i have that at the top of the hour and this rain is coming down over the sunshine skyway bridge where to 75 comes together in manatee county. and it should be in dover at about 6:17 pm and heavy rain at lake placid i have some showers that look like they will get into the south side by about 5:30 pm. all of this is likely to remain severe, although we have a rainy night for a lot of you. we will show you what we are this has several impulses of energy are several pieces to the puzzle that have produced multiple rounds of rain and still more to come. so for tonight. and this evening. it's dispatch right here at this little piece looks to come in for thursday but we are saying this develop over the rio grande valley. a lot of that should track to our north and the panhandle for tonight

the worst of the weather over fort myers and central portions of florida. as we zoom in it looks as though dotted showers have started to move into parts of the keys by marathon andey largo and isolated shower moving over pompano beach. the roadways are already wet because of that. here's how the day is going to play out. you see this warm front, this is all going to it's going to be like a one-two punch. then the leading edge of this front will bring us a better chance to storms until about 7:00 tonight it. then we'll wait for another front to moving into south florida currently right now over parts of the midwest. so scattered showers and storms will be possible day. we'll start to dry out tonight around 7:00, 8:00 until the evening hours. saturday will be a beautiful day. if you have some outdoor plans, i suggest you do it saturday. going into saturday night the clouds will already build ahead of that next cold front moving into south florida. looks as though it's definitely going it bring us wet weather as early as sunday morning into the the early half
