how do you think san francisco could change under his administration?> it's difficult to tell at this point. i think some of the issues that lurie was speaking to, particularly concerns about crime or the economy or housing insecurity or the lack of housing affordability, i think those are going to be some of the things that the residents of san francisco are expecting lurie to address, but that's easier said than done. i know a lot of people come into politics from the business world or outside of government and they come to find out there's a lot of constraints. you can't act like an authoritarian and get things done. lurie will have to figure out how to navigate this landscape. >> to the east bay, the recall of mayor sheng thao, it looks like that will likely go forward. what do you think is next there? >> i think it's going to be a very trying time for oakland. it already has been under sheng thao's leadership. there's been a lot of scandals and criticisms and outrage over the way the city of oakland is proceeding. so i think it's going to be a diff

san francisco!>> this is an exhibition across departments highlighting different artworks from our collection. gender is an important part of the dialogue. in many ways, this exhibition is contemporary. all of this artwork is from the 9th century and spans all the way to the 21st century. the exhibition is organized into seven different groupings or themes such as activities, symbolism, transformation and others. it's not by culture period but different affinities between the artwork. activities for example, looks at the role of gender and how certain activities are placed as feminine or masculine. we have a print by uharo that looks at different activities that derisionly performed by men. it's looking at the theme of music. we have three women playing traditional japanese instruments that would otherwise be played by men at that time. we have pairings so that is looking within the context of gender in relationships. also with how people are questioning the whole idea of pairing in the first place.

in san francisco.re all higher than the state average of 425, and way higher than the national average of $3.11 per gallon. now, members of the california air resources board are preparing to vote tomorrow on an update to the state's clean air rules, specifically, the low carbon fuel standard. here's the issue hitting the goal of cutting emissions to nearly half of what we were at in the 1990s. by 2030, could mean higher gas prices. now, while the air resources board hasn't issued an updated cost estimate for the consumer, their last one was $0.47 per gallon. by next year. the state's nonpartisan legislative analyst's office, the lao, has said it could be up to $0.20 a gallon. now, when asked about whether high gas prices are the strategy to force more of us to use less gas, she explained, the chairperson explained that it's to push lower carbon choices because fossil fuels have a higher carbon intensity. the fossil fuel producers need to take steps to comply with the regulation and those steps result
